Meet Mittens! Mittens is 1 year old and looks like a lab mix. With a name like Mittens she of course has white paws. She of course has a super sleek shiny black coat. A dna test will tell you for sure her breeds but we think she is 100% sweetness. Mittens is a little shy in new places but shes much more confident when shes with her people. She potties outside once she gets your routine and is a healthy eater. Shes a gentle treat taker. Very treat motivated which makes her very eager to learn. Mittens still acts puppyish but should respond well to patient direction and training. And she really rocks her Wonder Woman costume!Great with teenage kids and we expect the same would be true with younger ones. She hasnt been exposed to cats yet but she sure does love other dogs. Scout is a handsome sweet male one year old black lab mix who weighs 53 lbs. Scout attended his first event and it was a busy one! He became best friends with Mittens and Sasha who were two other dogs at the event and loved every human who came to say hi. He even got to meet a few kids who came up and gave him lots of attention and he just stood as they pet him. Scout is not jumpy when meeting new people but does give hugs once he gets to know you. BugFemaleAge: 14 monthsWeight: 41 lbsBreed: Lab Mix Hi! I’m Bug! My foster family says I am part Love-Bug and part Cuddle-Bug! I get along with other dogs and cats (I live with a cat and will sometimes chase the cat in “play mode” but I will also let the cat nap next to me on the couch, so we get along well). I have not been around kids to know how I would do with them though. I am house trained and crate trained and really don’t mind sleeping in my crate, but I do really love sleeping in bed next to my humans (sometimes I nose my way under the covers). I walk well on a leash and really love walking around the neighborhood. My favorite toy is any kind of ball (especially bouncy or squeaky ones)! I can play fetch with myself, tossing it up in the air then pouncing on it! When I was just a young pup, my previous owner was not kind to me and I needed medical care to survive. That chapter is now behind me, but because of that background, I do take some time to warm up to new people (especially men). Treats, patience, calm energy, and more treats are the way to my heart. Your gentle, patient approach will be rewarded with all the cuddles and tail wags when I learn to trust you. I do bark at new people because I am scared, but once they’ve paid the “treat tax”, I quiet down and will make friends. I also LOVE to eat and have learned how to sit and wait until I’m told “Ok” before I chow down. I have lived with a variety of other foster dogs and love to play with them (especially wrestling) but I am serious about all the balls belonging to me so a dog that won’t mind when I steal the ball from them would be ideal if I will have a dog sibling. I am a sweet, smart and playful guy who gets along great with other dogs and cats (as long as they don’t mind a playful puppy) and even kids. Because I am still a puppy, I am still working on my potty training. I am crate trained (I sleep through the night without a peep) and do need to be in my crate when you leave for short periods of time. My favorite toys are soft plush toys and toys that squeak and crinkle. And… I absolutely love Pupperoni treats. I am working on learning how to sit and enjoy running around the yard with my foster brother and wrestling with him and I enjoy some good cuddling when I am done running around. I can be a little timid at first when meeting new people, but I do warm up very quickly.
