Story
Meet Bullet, affectionately known as Big Bertha, a gentle giant with a heart as big as her frame! Born around April 6, 2017, this lovely lady is believed to be primarily a Black Lab mix, though her impressive size and striking looks suggest she might also have a bit of Newfoundland, Great Dane, or Mastiff in her. Bullet has a sleek, medium-length coat that's perfect for petting. She is the epitome of a well-mannered companion, being leash trained, potty trained, and having a calm, low-energy demeanor that makes her an ideal match for both adults and considerate children. Bullet thrives with boundaries and doesn't appreciate being manhandled, preferring a gentle touch and respectful interaction. She is a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs, getting along splendidly with her canine companions. However, Bullet isn't fond of cats, so a feline-free home would be best for her. Since coming into foster care on April 6, 2024, Bullet has shown her love for sunbathing in the yard and enjoying leisurely car rides. She's always up for an adventure, but she also treasures her couch time, where she'll gently nudge you until you make room for her. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and gentle companion who enjoys the simple pleasures in life, Bullet is ready to join your family and fill your days with warmth and joy. Adopt Bullet, and you'll have a steadfast friend who's always up for both adventures and cozy couch cuddles. September 8, 2024, 7:09 pm

Peanut PeteMaleAge: 2-3 yearsWeight: 52lbsBreed: Terrier/Lab Mix Hey there, I'm Peanut Pete. I am a sassy and spunky boy who is house trained and crate trained. I get along great with kids, but I'm just not really interested in them. I am dog friendly with slow and proper introductions and time to decompress and I should be good around cats too. I am great on leash for walks with my foster mom. I love going on walks, car rides, and playing with my foster brother. He has taught me so much about how to be a dog. I think a fur sibling and a fenced in yard would be amazing but not necessary. I pretty much love nothing more than to give hugs and kisses. I'm just looking for someone to share my love with. If you are looking for a dog who is sweet and smart and an extra great cuddler, I am your guy and I cannot wait to find a family all my own who will provide me all the love I deserve! If you are interested in meeting Pete, apply to adopt him at: www.causeforcanines.org. Adoption fee: $350 Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children must be 5 years old or older.  ##1912007##

MargieFemaleD.O.B. 5/4/24Expected Full Grown Weight: 55-65 lbsBreed: Lab Mix Hi! I’m Margie! I am a playful and fun-loving girl who is great around other dogs and cats and even kids.  I am your typical puppy who likes to wrestle with my foster siblings, cuddle on the couch and nap in the sunny window seat. I am crate trained and am working on my house training and how to walk well on a leash. For my age, I display great self-control especially around my foster cat sibling. I get so excited, but I sit and contain myself and let my cat friend approach me. I love to watch my foster dad make dinner because my brain is always processing how I stay out of the way and still put myself in position to get a fun treat. When I see something new just in general, I raise my ears and watch what’s happening before jumping in to the fray. If you are interested in meeting this thoughtful little lady, apply to adopt her at: www.causeforcanines.org. Adoption fee: $395 Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children must be 5 years old or older.  ##2149720##

Story
Archer is a 2-3-year-old mixed-breed dog that weighs about 40 lbs. We think he looks like a yellow lab but cant be sure without a dna test. Our boy is an energetic and curious dog who loves adventures. He also loves attention and playing especially if there are squeaky toys involved. Archer knows commands such as sit and stay and when food is involved he is sure to learn anything else you want to team him. He is also house trained and crate trained! Archer is ok on the lead and only pulls when he sees interesting stuff like squirrels. He Is dog selective - some dogs he is ok with but some he does not get along. He did a great job at his first public outing with dogs being all around us and seemed interested in playing with most dogs that came by.Archer made his debut at a public event and did great! He was very sweet to everyone who came up to him and you started giving him love he would roll over for belly rubs. No matter who came up, Archer would give out kisses and hugs and just loved being loved on. He can be jumpy but calms down quickly. Archer is great with young children and would make a fine family pet. He is fine with visitors in his home and is excited to get more attention. If you think Archer sounds like he could fit in your family, apply at www.caninecollective.

Story
Gucci is a lab/boxer mix, he is approx 6 months old and 22 lbs, he will probably be in the 40 to 50 lb range when fully grown. He is one of a litter of puppies rescued from a known dumping ground in Houston TX. Gucci is a typical puppy, he loves to run and play in the yard. Gucci gets along with the other rescue dogs. He is not yet fully house or leash/harness trained, but he is very smart and learns very quickly. He is a little on the shy side with people but will always run up for a treat! Gucci is a very handsome boy with beautiful markings and he has a very nice disposition. He will be a great family dog and companion. He would be a great dog for hiking or the dog park. Gucci must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and he must have a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Gucci is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Gucci's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Columbus, Akron, or Cinncinnati OH. Gucci is with our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Please email kathy@houstonshaggydogrescue.org if you are interested in adopting this good boy.
