Meet our sweetest soul, Pete! This handsome boy came from Texas to what he thought was his forever home in Lancaster. Unfortunately Pete was too strong for his former owner, which is how he ended up with us. Pete is so well behaved. He loves to play ball and go for walks and after his walk or play session he loves to cuddle with his people at night. Pete would love nothing more than a person to be loyal to and call his own. Pete is house trained and well behaved loose in the house when left alone. Pete is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is available for meet and greets, by appointment. Zeus is a 62-lb chocolate-and-white mix (lab and pit mix) who was pulled from a kill shelter in Tennessee a few years ago.. He is neutered, house-trained, healthy, and one of the most affectionate dogs you'll ever meet. He leans into people. He flips on his back for belly rubs from total strangers in the middle of Home Depot. He rides shotgun on long drives and looks over at you like he's keeping you company on purpose. People stop me on walks to compliment how beautiful he looks.He's also a serious athlete. He walks 3-6 miles a day and would make a dream running partner. He needs a home with space, a yard or land, and a person or people who are actually around. Not an apartment, not eight hours alone. He is great with humans, great with dogs he knows, and trickier with strange dogs on leash. Meet Miz Bizkit: Miz Bizkit is about a 2 year old (as of June 2024) lab mix that weighs 57 pounds. Miz Bizkit was a neighborhood stray in the city who found a random house to have a litter of puppies under. Miz Bizkit and her pups were wondering around looking for food when animal control was called to get them to safety back in 2023. The puppies (food litter) were all adopted out and Miz Bizkit stayed with a souther foster for heart worm treatment and socialization. Miz Bizkit has completed her treatment and is now ready for her forever home. She is looking to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania nto meet more prospective families. Miz Bizkit is a sweetheart and loves every adult she meets! She’s mostly independent and not much of a cuddler, but she loves back scratches! Miz Bizkit prefers a calmer environment. Miz Bizkit absolutely loves to play ball - she will play keep away though so having 2 balls to switch out makes for a more fun way to play. Miz Bizkit is very food and treat motivated; she knows sit, shake, and listens well. Miz Bizkit has worked with a trainer for a few weeks and they have assessed that she does well and is happiest when she is familiar with the people and dogs she is around. She can do well with savvy older kids or teens. With other dogs she does well with slow, thoughtful introductions and in a calm setting; she is an alpha dog and will show her dominance. She would do best as an only dog. She is sweet with adults and not overly reactive with strangers. Miz Bizkit is a great girl for the right fit. Miz Bizkit is housetrained - she hasn’t had any accidents in the house while on a routine break schedule. Miz Bizkit is leash trained and crate trained and she rides well in a vehicle! Meet Loretta: Loretta is about a 3 year old (as of July 2026) lab mix that weighs about 35 pounds. Loretta was found with her sister, Patsy, near a dump site on a country road in the south. A nice man found them and brought them to us and we were able to get them into the rescue. Loretta is currently being fostered in the Lancaster, PA area and would love to meet her forever family. Loretta is as sweet as can be! This cutie is a petite gal that is very loving and friendly. Loretta's charm shines when you meet her. She is a total love bug and loves giving kisses! Loretta loves to play with other dogs and is very submissive. Loretta is medium energy and will romp and run around but then settles to chill inside. We think Loretta's ideal home would have a companion dog to play with and a fenced in yard. Loretta loves children and is very gentle. She was a little wary of the cat she met, but didn't bother with it and was seemingly indifferent to the cat. Loretta loves water - she would happily accompany you on a trip to a lake or hike along a creek! Loretta is working on her house training and has done great with routine breaks outside. She is crate-trained. Loretta needs a little help with leash training, as she pulls when she is walking. Loretta is up to date on her shots and spayed. Meet Bo: Bo is about a 10 week old (as of September 2, 2026) black lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 10 pounds. This adorable Dukes of Hazzard litter (Daisy, Bo, and Luke) was found as strays in Batesville, AR and made their way into our rescue. Bo is being fostered in the south and would love to catch the next freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families! Bo is well socialized and has never met a stranger. He is the leader amongst his litter mates. Bo is sweet, snuggly, and so soft! He loves playing in the water like a typical lab. Bo gets along with dogs and cats. We would expect this litter to be great family dogs as they love people and love to be held. Bo will need an active family to make sure he gets his exercise as he grows through his puppy lab phases. Bo is working on house training, but as a puppy, he will need some patience while he continues to master the process. Bo is crate trained and learning how to walk on a leash. We would love for Bo to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely as he grows. Bo is up to date on his puppy shots and will need to be neutered when age appropriate. Meet Chief: Chief is about a 2 year old (as of August 2026) silver lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 75 pounds. Chief was found as a stray and taken to a high kill shelter in Mississippi. Our rescue heard about this sweet boy and were able to find a place out of the shelter for him. Chief is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Chief is such a handsome guy with a sweet personality and love affection! He is very smart and already knows some commands - learning more should go very well! Chief is great with people and other dogs. Chief loves playing with puppies. He is an energetic lad and will need an active family that loves to be outside. Chief loves hiking and splashing through water. Chief walks well on a leash. Chief is crate trained, but prefers to be out of his crate and, ideally, outside. Chief is house trained but is currently residing in an outdoor kennel, so he may need some patience while adjusting back into the house.
