Story
MALLIE and her siblings Duckie & Patches (also posted for adoption) were seized in a court case. We pulled them from a West TN shelter as a special request. Their other sibling has already found his home. There were 4 total. These are adorable pups. They don't look a lot a like. We feel Lab prevailed in Mallard's gene pool. Mallie is a very sweet, playful, loving pup. We are working on her trainings ....she is doing well. Mallard is located in Gleason, TN (different foster than his 2 siblings) Contact Lisa 731-499-0739 or oatsvall973@yahoo.com

Story
If interested in learning more about Butch or for an application please contact Carrie Bowman 731-267-5535 or cabowman67@yahoo.com Sundance is a 3 year old lab mix who weighs about 33 pounds who was found along with his brother Butch Cassidy (also on site for adoption) as strays. Sundance is a sweet boy who is very shy upon first meeting but he does warm up and adjusts well. He enjoys exploring and playing in the yard with his brother Butch and the other dogs in the foster home. Sundance would do better in a home with another dog that will help show him the ropes and help him come out of his shell. Sundance wants more then anything to be love, he is just unsure about people but has improved a lot with his foster mom and will adjust well with his forever family. Sundance will need a loving home with patience and understanding while he adjusts and learns to trust. He is worth the chance as he really is a sweet boy. Oh did I mention he has the most beautiful eyes, he sure does

Story
Rose is a 2.5 year old lab mix girl who is longing to be the only pet in a home with a fenced yard. Rose loves her toys and to play tug! She looks forward to car rides and socializing to meet new people, just not dogs! Rose is not reactive in socially distanced outings with dogs however if we feel she is going to have close interaction her current foster mom will use a muzzle to make Rosie feel comfortable. Rose does have sensitive skin and requires a grain free diet. So if you are looking for a dog that will bond you her humans and can give her a home where she is the only pup we encourage you to contact her foster mom Ingrid @:flasunshine1994@yahoo.com Her adoption fee is only $275- This girl deserves a home of her own. She would do great hiking!

Story
Stella is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. A family observed Stella being pushed out of a vehicle and abandoned. They took her in and were planning on keeping her since she was such a great dog - being good with their dog, cats, and chickens. But their first dog did not like Stella and attacked her, so Stella had to go. Stella is microchipped and we discovered that she was adopted from a shelter in Greenville SC. The adopter moved to Texas and told us that they had "rehomed" her. Stella is a yellow lab/chow mix (she has the purple tongue of a chow) and she weighs 80+ pounds. The microchip data tells us that she is 6 years old. Stella is a very good dog. She was understandably scared of our other dogs at first but she is now okay since she knows they won't hurt her, and she has just started to play with some of them. Stella has not shown any interest in toys or chew bones, but she loves treats. Stella is also content to lay in the yard or in the house and loves pets, scratches, belly rubs, and human attention. Stella is fine with cats and chickens. She has no interest in them. Stella is house-trained and very well-behaved in the house. She will whine when she needs to go outside. Stella rides well in a vehicle, sits on command, and comes when called. She likes to go on walks (but pulls on the leash sometimes). Stella could use some additional gentle obedience training. Stella needs a few days to learn to trust new people and unfamiliar situations but treats quickly make things better. We recommend that Stella only be around older children who know how to behave respectfully with dogs. Stella must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She needs to be walked on a leash and would like a securely fenced yard to sun herself and go potty. Stella is healthy. She is spayed and tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Stella is heartworm-negative and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Stella's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Hampton NJ, Parsippany NJ, or Nanuet NY. Stella is being fostered in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Baloo is a 4 year old purebred silver lab that was purchased from a breeder.  He is very affectionate but he needs to be the one who initiates it.  He loves to just sit and be pet, take a car ride and loves to hike and swim. &#226&#128&#139 Watch Baloo playing here . He has some special needs and life with lots of outdoor space such as a farm would be great for him. He will need a person with strong dog handling skills and big dog experience.   At this point, we feel that Baloo would do best as an only dog. While he does not react to other dogs outside of the home, he does not always like to share his indoor space with them. Baloo is loved and cherished within our rescue and will need a very special situation to succeed in any home. He is considered a special needs dog by us and will need to have special handling to succeed.  If you are interested submit an application at njshpetrescue.org.  * You must live within 90 minutes of Chester NJ to be considered as an in-person home visit is required for all adoptions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 6, 2023, 3:05 pm
