Oreo is around 2 years old and we think he is a lab mix, but With rescue we can never guarantee breed. He weighs a nice, portable 60 pounds and would love to be your big lap dog! He is not a high energy dog who needs constant stimulation or exercise, but would enjoy going on adventures, learning new tricks, and seeing all the things the great outdoors has to offer! Very non- confrontational and will run away if a dog gets crappy with him. He is super sweet and loving. Vocal player. Super smart! Has a very gentle spirit, and very soulful eyes. Such an amazing dog! " Oreo's intelligence shines through in everything he does. He's excellent on a leash, responsive to recall commands, and highly motivated by food, making his training sessions fun and productive. Despite his enthusiasm, he has a submissive and gentle nature with people and other dogs. He is often found lying on his back, eagerly waiting for belly rubs. Playtime is Oreo's favorite time! He loves playing fetch and tug-of-war, and he even learned how to swim this summer, retrieving toys from deep water. He's ready to join you on all your aquatic adventures when the weather warms up. Oreo knows various commands, both verbal and hand signals, and he's generally good with recall—though he can get distracted when other fun playmates are around. He is potty trained and comfortable in his crate, Oreo shows no separation anxiety, though he appreciates having company at home for part of the day. Making his way to you, this cute Lab mix pup is on track to be a large companion, potentially reaching over 80 lbs as he grows into his paws—though, as with all things in rescue, that's just an educated guess! Kawasaki is doing wonderfully in his current foster home, where he's made friends with a pack of three dogs. He's crate-trained and house trained. He's even started to communicate when he needs to go outside by sitting at the door and whining, showing just how smart he is by also mastering bell training. Meet the fabulous Burt Grace! He is currently around 30 pounds, 7 months old, and we think he may be Lab/Pittie mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this dog is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize dogs. So, this dog needs you! If you choose a dog from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. This affectionate boy will absolutely shower you with kisses if you let him. Burt is treat-motivated, so this smart boy learns quickly with the right motivation. His foster family says that he loves chasing balls – they are his favourite toy. This puppy has energy to play and investigate everything around him, and is ready for anything, adapting to different situations with ease. He will be the perfect walking or running buddy, just happy to relax afterwards right next to you (or hanging halfway off your lap – that’s just his easygoing and loving attitude). There’s no stranger danger with this loving pup – everyone’s a friend that is just waiting for his affection! Burt loves playing with his foster siblings, so would do well in a house with other dogs, but he would certainly soak up all the love and affection in a house where he reigns supremely solo too. Burt is currently in a foster home with older dogs and young children, so this puppy can handle it all with ease. His foster family has him following a schedule, learning to walk on leash, and some basic commands (that will still need reinforcement.) Burt is ready for a loving home filled with lots of treats, toys, and good times. Burt is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires.
