She’s calm, easygoing, and happiest when she’s lounging by your side. Abbi is wonderful with other dogs and gets along great with her foster brother—she’d make an excellent companion for a laid-back pup or for someone wanting a chill, loving, best friend. Always wagging her tail, Abbi has a happy, loving spirit. One of her cutest quirks is the way she greets you—she likes to walk between your legs because it feels like she’s getting petted. It’s her own little way of saying hello and it will melt your heart every time. Abbi is crate trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands like sit and stay. She’s also very food-motivated, which makes her eager to please (especially if a tasty treat is involved!) Because of her age, Abbi isn’t super active and does move a little slower—she may need a hand getting in and out of the car—but she makes up for it by being the perfect cuddle buddy and loyal companion. Abbie was recently diagnosed with Cushing Disease, which is controlled through daily medication that she will need for the rest of my life. I enjoy  snuggling and belly rubs, but also love being active. I get the zoomies in the morning and love to race around with my friends. Being able to get my energy out lets me relax the rest of the day. My ideal family would have a friend I could play with to run the yard or dog park with. I am a bit of a goof and enjoy rolling around in cool grassy areas when it’s hot out. This 25 lb 8 month old lab / pitty mix is a shy girl who just needs a little time to feel safe.  Most of her life has been spent on her own or in the shelter, but now that she’s in a home she is slowly and beautifully coming out of her shell! She can take quite a while to warm up to you but once she does her soft personality shines through.  Those expressive eyes and adorable face make it hard not to root for her!  She is doing wonderfully with leash, kennel and potty training and is eager to learn, especially when kindness and patience are involved! I'm a beautiful girl with flawless eyeliner and contour - not to mention my gorgeous golden-red coat. I weigh about 40lbs and consider myself to be at my ideal weight. I have a look like a mini-boxer...sort of? Honestly, there's probably all kinds of things mixed up in me! And you know, mutts make the best dogs!   I am a timid and shy lady. I am so happy in my foster home - the people here are great! It's time for me to find a forever family, now. I will be shy at first, but I will learn to love you lots with a little time! A training course would definitely help us bond. I am already potty trained and crate trained, so you know I’m a smart girl! I'm also great off leash with my foster mom, but that will take time to work up to in a new home. We take walks and I get to run and play in the stream - I love that! I really like to swim, too! I also love wrestling and playing with my doggie friends!   At home, I love to look out the front window at all the things going on. I don't bark or get worked up, I just like to look out at the world. I'm a very good snuggler, once we're bonded!
