Nova came to our family when she was about one year old from a local farm in Southern California. She is sweet to our family and loves to be loved. Protective when she needs to be and great with kids. We love her but unfortunately she does not get along with our other dog. Initially, they got along pretty well, but it wasn’t until we moved to Utah that their relationship changed. They just don’t get along like they used to. She is a great dog and would be perfect for single pet home. We also had a cat but Nova would just avoid her. We are just looking for a home that will love her and take care of her as part of the family.

Jayce is ready for a life of porch-sitting and sweet, lazy morning snuggles in bed. Jayce is a dog people fall in love with, and fall in love hard. He has the personality of an old friend- funny, familiar and easy to spend hours with. Jayce has a very expressive face that makes him easy to connect with, he’s one of those dogs that just immediately feels like a member of the family. His foster mom says one of his best qualities is how devoted to his people, and we say one of his best qualities is how devoted his people become to him. He’s so incredibly engaged and present with his humans, so lovable and full of personality. Jayce embodies love and loyalty, if you’re looking for a best friend, he’s your guy. Jayce is the ultimate companion dog, he’s affectionate with his family, communicative and expressive, funny and silly, an avid fetch player and such a smart boy. We believe Jayce is a Labrador, American Pit Bull Terrier mix, but he is a rescue, so his exact age and breed cannot be guaranteed. He currently tips the scales at a soft and snuggly 80 pounds, fully grown at an estimated 3 years old. Despite how loving he is with his people, Jayce promises to never pull your arm off looking for love from a stranger. He’s very “human” about his interpersonal relationships, he knows how weird it would be for a human to kiss their neighbor on the mouth, so he acts accordingly. Jayce will take a moment to get to know you before professing his love, but… psst- don’t tell him we told you this- Jayce’s heart is easily won with Pupperoni, and gentle soft voices. He bonds with his people through training and leash walking as well, making further training not only enjoyable and practically rewarding, but incredibly emotionally rewarding too. With other dogs, Jayce is similarly “human” in his interactions. He prefers to get to know them a bit before becoming his silliest and most playful self. In his foster home, he enjoys the company of two larger male dogs, he gets along well with them and even snuggles with them on the couch. Jayce is also an incredibly intelligent dog. He knows how to auto-sit for treats, he knows how to “puppy-dog-eye” his way into all night snuggles. He responds so well to positive reinforcement, and we believe you could do just about anything with this dog because of it. Want a “hobby dog” to teach off-leash skills, agility or party tricks? Jayce would love to learn, and he’ll love you all the more for it. Unlike most highly-trainable dogs, Jayce’s intellect does not come with high energy. He has a wonderfully balanced energy that allows him to be content just calmly hanging out. Jayce can be very lively and playful at times but also a calm cuddle bug that just wants to lay on the couch with you watching movies all day. He loves being near his people and his foster parents occasionally let him sleep in bed with them. On the nights that he does get to sleep with them, he likes to snuggle right up with you, rest his head on your pillow and look up at you until he falls asleep. Jayce loves to be outdoors as well. If you find yourself in the garage tinkering often, Jayce would love to watch you work. Jayce is still working on his leash manners, but with polishing and practice, he would make an excellent hiking or walking companion. He has the confidence for the most treacherous hikes, a vital skill for a hiking companion, and he never tires of being outdoors. A testament to Jayce’s confidence: fireworks don’t faze him! His foster dad was so impressed with us that he let us know after their Fourth of July together. He loves water too, he gets so excited for the doggy pool. We could see this handsome fella enjoying lake house life, or long weekend campouts on the river. Jayce is an easy to love dog. He has great house manners, his foster reports that he’s potty trained, and he’s very respectful of furniture. He is a bit more introverted than most, and would love to live in a quiet home. Jayce’s ideal pawrents are child-free, and lead a quiet and simple life, with gratitude for the small moments of joy, like belly-rub-time and slow walks around the neighborhood. We believe Jayce would prefer a home in a suburban or rural area, a house over an apartment. Jayce would be happiest in a home with no kitties, and no pushy, persistently playful dogs. Jayce could live with mellow dogs that understand his balanced energy level. We recommend slow introductions and lots of decompression time for Jayce, but he comes well-equipped with excellent crate skills to support these needs. Jayce is ready to come home to you. That sweet, squishable face belongs to Curly, a calm, loving, easy-going little big guy with a huge heart and the cutest curly tail. So lovey, people friendly, good with dogs and cats, a great companion dog!! Curly is around 1.5 years old, and we suspect him to be a hound mix of some sort. He has a looooong body, short legs with feet that splay out and the cutest underbite with yellow golden eyes. Curly weighs in around 75 pounds right now, tiny but beefy with his short little legs! A “small” big dog, the perfect size for couch snuggles. Watch Curly in action here: Curly is a charmer to his core, he’s so so loving and people-friendly, he has the cutest little underbite and he’s so engaging with humans. Curly opens up quickly with new humans, he will ask just about anyone for belly rubs. I just know that it will be “love at first sight” for him the moment he meets his forever family. He’s super affectionate, but not overly pushy about it, and doesn’t jump up for pets. He’s such a good boy! Curly has made friends with kids aged 3-13. He’s gentle, sweet and patient with all of them! See Curly interact with kids for yourself in his video. Curly did well meeting other dogs here at the rescue, and currently lives in a foster home with multiple other dogs. He gets along well with all that he meets, and he’s loving and sweet with other dogs. Curly is all about sweet puppy kisses, and going with the flow. Curly plays with his foster doggy-sister every day and would likely do well in a home with another moderately playful dog to keep him company. Here at the rescue, Curly was cat tested by our behavior team. He did really well meeting our house cat Tom, he was unfazed by him and quickly shifted his focus back to his people. Our behavior team recommends Curly for a home with dog-savvy cats! Curly does well in the car if its one he can climb into. He has great house manners, and doesn’t have accidents indoors in his foster home. Curly is easy on leash and enjoys short walks in the park. He will occasionally stop in the middle of the track and flop over for belly rubs from strangers. Curly would love a couch to curl up on. This sweet boy will make such a wonderful companion, he’s an easy-going boy, and sooo loving. Curly will bring so much joy into your life. Meet Max, a 3.5 year old medium energy loving boy who is so ready to join his forever home. My favorite thing about Max is when you first meet him. He greets you with a gentle nudge to say hello. Anyone can walk up to meet Max and he greets them the same way. He is an easy going boy that loves to just hang out with his people. Meet Max here: Max is a versatile and adaptable dog. Although he has integrated into various dog packs his favorite playmate is a playful puppy. He lives with other dogs but his favorite companion is his person! While Max can initially be a bit reserved for a short time, he quickly warms up to those who show him kindness and patience. Max has met and enjoyed the company of older kids. He was particularly easy to hang with the 13 year old kids. He eventually will crawl into your lap and give you his paw to hold. It is his way of saying please keep loving on me. Max is a soulful sweet personable dog. His favorite spot for affection is on the side of his cheeks and under his chin. As on as you love those spots he will be attached to you like glue. When you stop petting him he will gently paw your arm like telling you to please dont stop. Max is pretty good on leash too. He was able to be walked in the neighborhood by his 13 year old friend Sadie. He listens pretty well too and knows the command sit. Max is crate and potty trained too. Max is ever so gentle when he takes treats out of your hand. He has the best manners and never jumps on his people friends either. Car riding is easy for Max too! He rides with a calm manner which makes traveling easy. When Max goes to the city park he really enjoys sniffing around and meeting new people. We think Max would love a home with a yard. He does not need dog friends but a playful easy going dog friend would be nice too. Max’s dream home is a home that will cherish him by spending time with him, taking him on strolls, and giving him pets and affection. Mochi is magic in a bottle! He’s a happy go lucky pup with a heart of gold, and he’s ready for his forever home. We believe that Mochi is a Lab, Pittie mix, but he is a rescue so these are just our best guesses! Sweet Mochi is estimated to be around 2 years old, and he currently weighs in at a lap-sized 66 pounds. He greets each and every new face with a wagging tail and a big smile. Kids are no exception for Mochi- he has lived in foster home with a young child with no issue. If your kids need a playmate, Mochi could be a perfect match! Mochi is also amazing in the car, and easy on leash, making him a perfect adventure buddy. He enjoys his car rides in the back seat, watching the world go by while you drive. Mochi loves to accompany his foster family on shopping trips and Starbucks runs, and while he’s out- he’s absolutely spoiled by all who meet him. He’s just so handsome, and always so happy to meet new people- usually new humans will say something like “wow, what a beautiful coat!” followed shortly by “Wow! Thank you for the kisses, Mochi!” Mochi has learned that the compliments come freely and the treats come easy for a good boy like him. If your definition of “adventure” stretches past a trip to Target, fret not- Mochi is a total outdoorsman. This guy doesn’t mind puddles, ice, snow or steep climbs. The most treacherous hike couldn’t faze him. Mochi is both confident and trusting on leash, which makes him a perfect hiking companion. He has the stamina to join you for long excursions, and the car riding skills to join you in far away lands. He’s people-oriented enough to check in from time to time, making adventuring that much safer and more enjoyable. He’s a perfect camping/hiking/adventuring companion, through and through! When you get to that scenic overlook, Mochi will “sit” on command for that perfect picture, in exchange for a treat, of course! Speaking of treats, Mochi is super food motivated! This makes further training with him enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. He already sits on command for treats and he takes them gently. His favorite treat is beef jerky, and yes, he did ask us to include this factoid in his bio! It is very important and relevant information for his future family to know. Mochi’s foster family does include two small dogs with a medium to low energy level. Mochi is firmly in the medium energy category, with legs that could run all day and a heart that could snuggle all night. Mochi loves to play with other dogs, and does play with his foster siblings, but is respectful when the other dogs are done playing, or don’t want to play. His lower energy friends keep him balanced, and for that reason we believe he would do best in a home with medium to low energy female dogs like his foster siblings. Mochi is so people-oriented that he could also thrive as a solo dog, soaking up all of your attention for himself. Mochi is a total toy lover too. He likes to carry his toys around in his mouth, and he has been reported to do so for up to a half hour at a time. It’s impossibly adorable. He also likes to pull his toys out of his toy box, one by one, doing a little “inventory” before deciding which is best. He’s also great at catching his toys in his mouth. He’s such a talented and happy boy! Precious Mochi is so loving and happy, he will surely brighten any home. We would be remiss to not mention that Mochi is a total staff favorite! He’s described as “funny and cute,” by our behavior team lead, as “so happy” by one of our K9 Coaches, and as “an incredibly special boy,” by one of our adoption coordinators. Mochi is truly such a bright and special soul, and he has so many fans and friends already, but he’s ready for his forever home. With a smile always on his face, Mochi is ready to fill your home with love and happiness. Mochi could live with other dogs, but we don’t recommend him for a home with kitties. We believe he would be happiest in a home with a yard, but considering his personality and social skills, we believe he could do well in an apartment too. Winnie is a name that just exudes sweetness and it suits this girl perfectly. Let me introduce you to her! You can start by watching her Get-to-know-Winnie video here then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/IMluk-5Rgvg Currently (Feb. 2025) Winnie is estimated to be seven months old and is what most of us consider the best part of the puppy days. She is full of everything that makes puppies so much fun—playful, eager to learn, with an endless supply of love/kisses/cuddles. We believe she is a Black Lab/Pitty mix and even though in rescue we cannot guarantee breed, the blend of fun-loving goofy and big love is the epitome of that good Lab energy. Her water-dog status is still pending, her foster family has a beautiful pool where she can be found standing on a step or lounging on the side- all signs point to her being ready to dive in as soon as the temperatures say its pool weather. Her love and playfulness is across the board- people to dogs, this girl is a social butterfly! With people she bops around saying hello, occasionally checking to see if anyone wants to play fetch with her. With dogs, she is popular for her playfulness and is a dream day-care dog. She makes fast friend and understands when a dog is not interested in playing and she respects that. Winnie is so fortunate and is waiting for her forever family in a loving foster home. This has given her the advantage of learning the best house manners and mastering the important skills a puppy needs. She is fully house and crate trained which is the biggest bonus of all! When her foster tells her to “go to your place” she heads right on in happily. She has gotten to experience so many things which has only helped make her a confident and well-rounded dog. From weekend get-aways at their ranch (she is great in the car) basic pet store runs, or getting to tag-along to the office, she is happy to be there and an easy companion. She loves to chase her ball, play tug-of-war, and zoom around with her foster siblings and when play time is over she’ll burrow under the covers for a well-earned nap. If you happen to be sitting, she will aim right for your side for her nap. Her signature move is to curl up in a perfect ball with her head resting on your leg. Queue the puppy snores and Im pretty sure that is about the most peaceful place you could wish to be. Her ideal family will have another dog or kids to play with and will be devoted to continuing to socialize her and give her plenty of outlets for her playful side.
