Story
Sweet Boy Edward is a 2 year old beautiful lab/pitte mix weighing just under 70 lbs of pure love, loyalty and sweetness. Watch his personality here: https://youtu.be/Htar5YKdt5A?si=eUWy0nhArQirEX7M Edward is a very active young boy that enjoys his milk bones and lots of treats. He is very treat motivated so continued training will be easy with this fella! He is very smart and enjoys walks playing football or any ball for that matter. He is well trained and will let you know when it's potty time and doesn't have accidents in the house house! He also knows basic commands and will give you his paw and will sit when told … but there is a treat tax required for that! Edward is very loyal and will protect his humans! He loves to get affection and love dell His humans and be wherever they are! Edward is learning to walk on a leash but will need more leash training as he’s likely never been on one. He will pull so a capable handler os recommended until he gains more leash etiquette. Edward is: * crate trained * house trained dog friendly with slow intros * very kid friendly * rides well in the car and can get in and out on his own Edward is very “talkative”at first but once he gets to know you he just melts your heart! He loves all the pets and cuddles and will do anything for attention! Edward would do best in a home with a fenced in yard where he can run and play whenever he pleases! He would also benefit living in a home with another doggy companion (female or non-conflict driven male) that will help him open up and acclimate to his new home. Does Edward sound like the right best friend for your family? Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
Meet Aitana! It doesn’t get better than a soft, gentle, mild mannered, water loving, family dog! Aitana adores every person in her life. Kisses and cuddles are her love language. Aitana is always on the lookout for any available family member to snuggle with. She is very gentle when asking for affection, she will gently nudge you with her snout or nestle into your lap. At times she will give you her paw if you have not acknowledged her other displays of affection for attention! Watch her sweet disposition here! https://youtu.be/azt8VVyngDE Aitana is fostered in a very vibrant, fast paced home. There are three children, ages 3, 10, 12, and a 16 year old with Down Syndrome. Aitana quickly bonded with the 10 year old boy and they have become the best of friends! She let’s him dress her up, they build forts together, watch tv together, and work on “dog training” together lol This mostly consists of her asking for treats while he does homework. Aitana handles the chaos wonderfully. She sits and watches while one child practices the Tuba and the other practices the piano. We can’t wait til she has a family of her own to follow around and love on! Her foster mom loves that she can trust her with the children and that she is house trained! Aitana does sleep in her crate when the family is gone for the day and at night. She does great in the crate, even when everyone is at home, she lays in her crate and watches. Besides her love of her people, Aitana’s second love is WATER!! This girl will do anything to go for a swim! Do you enjoy going for walks and going to the river after? Do you live by the beach? Do you have a pool at home? Or even willing to get a little kiddie pool? Aitana would love you forever and ever!! Aitana gets along great with dogs. One of our favorite qualities about her, are her great dog introductions! She has been put in many scenarios to meet a large variety of dogs, on and off leash doing quick introductions. Aitana makes dogs feel very comfortable. She is fostered with a small 13lb terrier and a large female pitbull. Aitana will make the perfect family pet. We also feel that she would be a great dog for a family who is wanting to adopt for the first time. Aitana would do well in an townhome, condo or apartment too! Don’t miss out on your chance to adopt this gorgeous Lab! She will love you like no one ever has!
