Story
Meet Daisy! This 3-month-old Lab mix was pulled from a Texas shelter and is now settling into Wisconsin. Daisy is a typical, playful puppy with a sweet and social nature. She’s great with other dogs, children, and ready to be your new best friend. Cats are still a question mark, but Daisy is open to learning! Apply today! www.HBWI.org/adopt FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Story
George is an 11-month old, 65lb mixed breed. He wears his heart on his sleeve with big goofy emotions - he loves toys, he insists he's a lap dog, he's good with most dogs when properly introduced and he is the best boy. George isn't aware of his size or strength and he barrels through life so he's best matched with older kids or adult-only home until he matures. He's crate & house trained. George is curious but respectful of cats. Rey of Hope Rescue is a locally based dog & cat rescue in Milwaukee serving all of SE Wisconsin. We are passionate about helping you find the best pet match for your home. WI License # DS-536355

Story
𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒕: CLEO She arrived to Cedarburg, Wisconsin on Friday, January 10th and is doing amazing in her new foster home. She is now fully potty trained, crate trained, and walks great on the leash. Due to her hard upbringing, she can be a bit shy and takes a little time to warm up to new people. But once she knows you, she is very loyal and affectionate. She is more fond of women than men until she is familiar. she has not always had it easy. She was brought to the kill shelter in Georgia as part of a neglect seizure case where her and the other dogs living there were chained up outside with logging chains. She was severely neglected and did not know kindness from humans, but has come a long way! Despite it all, she is a super sweet and friendly girl. —--------------------------- Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is a summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Story
Meet Rowan! Rowan recently made the journey from a high-kill shelter in Georgia to Cedarburg, WI, with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 2/15/25, and he’s doing wonderfully in his foster home. Rowan was found alone on 12/26/25 at the end of an old service road in rural Georgia, where it’s likely he was abandoned. Animal control brought him to the local shelter, and he spent nearly two months there before making his way to Wisconsin. At about 8 years old, Rowan is a sweet, friendly guy with a calm, observant nature. When he first arrived at the shelter, his constant eye contact was misinterpreted as a sign of defensiveness, but in reality, Rowan was simply looking for direction. He’s a smart, experienced dog who likes to take everything in and is always paying attention. He gets along with everyone he meets—both humans and dogs—and has a laid-back vibe but also enjoys playing and being a little goofy. Rowan is potty trained, crate trained (though he doesn’t really need a crate), and walks beautifully on a leash. His foster mom in Wisconsin can’t say enough good things about him and has told us he’s simply the best dog she’s ever met. Now, Rowan is hoping to find a forever home where he can relax, feel safe, and experience true love for the first time. He truly deserves a family who will show him the care and affection he’s been waiting for. Could Rowan be the perfect addition to your family? He’s ready to give all the love in his heart to the right person! __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer,  vaccinations, heart worm prevention (age appropriate) and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption.  __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.)
