Story
George recently celebrated his first birthday. He is a 65lb neutered mixed breed who is microchipped and up to date on shots. He wears his heart on his sleeve with big goofy emotions - he loves toys, he snores, he convinced he's a lap cat, he's dog friendly and he is waiting for his new best friend to apply to adopt him. George is a loyal confidant and protector. He will follow you around the house and lay at your feet. He exudes quiet confidence and rarely barks unless he is alerting you to something out of the ordinary. George isn't aware of his size or strength and he barrels through life like a bull in a flower shop, so he's best matched in a home with adults or older kids until he matures and is less of a goofball. He's house trained when following a schedule and quiet as a mouse in his crate. He lives in harmony with dog savvy cats (but he would overwhelm a less confident cat with his antics). Rey of Hope Rescue is a locally based dog & cat rescue in Milwaukee serving all of SE Wisconsin. We are passionate about helping you find the best pet match for your home. WI License # DS-536355

Cheese is a 6-month-old, lab/beagle mix, estimated to be ~45-50lbs, We call her Cheese Louise. Such a cutie, so smart, full of spunk & sass. She’s great about letting us know when she has to go out. Great in her kennel during the day when we’re gone as well as overnight. Very high energy but also such a snuggle bug by the end of the day. Great with other dogs and kids of all ages. Unique trait- her spots on her ear look like a little puppy faceMiss Cheese loves snacking on bananas 🤣 on a lick map all mashed or frozen or room temp.DATCP#483538

Story
Patton is a great puppy, He will be a year old in July and has not had the best beginning. I currently have 2 dogs and a cat and took Patton in because the people that had him decided to take him back to the Humane Society since they were moving and could not take him with . He loves people and other dogs and needs a forever home. He is a beautiful green-eyed sweetheart. He was originally pad trained and I have been working on the potty training and we have had no accidents for for days. He does go to the door, but he is still learning so he needs someone who can spent the time with him while he gets better. He is a bolter so I always have him leashed for now, but I think he will get better with that once he feels he has a forever home. He is very loyal and loves to snuggle. He loves to smell and would probably be a great hunting dog. He is still a puppy so chew toys are needed. I wish I could keep him but 3 dogs is just too much for us. Please help him find his people!

Story
Meet Biggie the mixed breed puppy ARRIVING IN WI on APRIL 25th! Biggie is a handsome 4 month old mixed breed male puppy. He is sweet and friendly puppy who loves to play and has a fun personality. He currently weighs about 35 pounds and we expect him to be large breed when fully grown. Biggie was brought into the shelter in rural Texas after being found as a stray/abandoned. He is excited to make the trip to WI to find his forever home! He gets along well with other dogs and he loves people of all ages. He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. He is working hard on his potty training, but his new family should be prepared to do more training as he learns the routine in his new home. His adoption fee will be used to support our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we prepare, transport and adopt out in the northern United States. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis. He will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday April 25th, and will be available to meet, and take home if he is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday, April 25th. If upon meeting, he is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent him from finding her forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog. If you’re not already familiar with our group, please feel free to visit our Group Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. We take payments through Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp, or we can take card numbers over the phone and process them through Square. All of these methods provide a receipt. Thank you for supporting our efforts to bring Texas dogs north to loving homes! You can read more about us at https://facebook.com/TxRescueRiders (Texas Rescue Riders). Also feel free to join our Group Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity (Texas Rescue Riders Community) where members can post directly. We cannot guarantee breed or age. We assign breed and age designations based on veterinary advice and information from the prior owner.

Story
Meet Daisy! This 3-month-old Lab mix was pulled from a Texas shelter and is now settling into Wisconsin. Daisy is a typical, playful puppy with a sweet and social nature. She’s great with other dogs, children, and ready to be your new best friend. Cats are still a question mark, but Daisy is open to learning! Apply today! www.HBWI.org/adopt FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Labrador Retriever German Shepherd Dog

Female, 2 yrs 10 mos
Sturtevant, WI
Size
(when grown) -
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Darla is a sweet fun loving girl. She has typical shepherd markings on a sturdy lab body. She is shy and a bit timid at first, especially with men, but after about 3 days, her charming, fun personality emerges. She's the perfect mix of chill and playful. Her German Shepherd line means she's going to bond with you and her family. She is especially fond of women and would do fantastic with a single woman who wants a dog that will alert to dangers. She'll be right there wherever you go in the house. Darla knows some basic commands like sit, shake, sit up, and is pretty good about staying. She loves to play with dogs similar to her size and loves playing outside.. okay she just loves to play. She loves squeaky toys, though they won't last long! She also needs tough chew toys. Darla is house-trained, rides well in a car, and will sleep in a crate all night, if the crate is in your bedroom. She would prefer to sleep on a dog bed, in your room, and not make a peep. Darla is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She is heartworm negative and waiting for her forever home. Darla is fostered in North Alabama but is available to other animals via transport. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, is heartworm negative and on preventatives. Apply at https:/forrescue.net
