Story
Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 12/20/2025 Dog Name: Queenie Sex: Female Estimated Breed: Lab Mix Approximate Age: 5 years Approximate Weight: 45 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Spayed  Description: Queenie would thrive in a very laid-back, quiet, and low-key home environment. She enjoys the company of other dogs and will play appropriately, but she does prefer having her own space within the home. Queenie will go on walks, though she much prefers having the freedom to run and play in a securely fenced yard. She is fully housebroken and does know to ring bells when she has to go outside. Queenie loves belly rubs and giving hugs and kisses! More than anything, she enjoys relaxing and spending time with her people in the comfort of her safe space in her home. Queenie’s previous home in Texas was with an elderly woman who lived a very calm lifestyle and was truly “her person.” As we approach the holidays, having that sense of stability and companionship is especially important for Queenie!   Adoption Fee: $450We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. December 21, 2025, 4:25 pm

Story
Crissy’s journey started on the side of a rural Texas road, abandoned and alone with her sister. But now? Her story is finally turning around—right here in Wisconsin. She’s gone from shelter bars to wide-open fields and is thriving in her foster home. Crissy lives on a farm, where she’s respectful of horses and chickens, adores the kiddos, and gets along wonderfully with the resident Pyrenees. She even went camping and loved every second of it—this girl’s ready for adventure, as long as it ends with snuggles. Still just a pup, Crissy is that perfect mix of playful and calm. She enjoys exploring, playing with her people, and curling up close when it’s time to wind down. She’s already crate trained, fully potty trained, and has the sweetest, most eager-to-please personality. Crissy is ready for a forever home full of love, patience, and gentle guidance. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with a heart of gold, Crissy’s your girl. FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Story
Hi! I am quite the ball of energy and need the space to run around and play! I originally came from a home that did not train me whatsoever, but I am very smart and already learning commands. I will need an adopter that knows how to train basic commands, and is able to handle my energy! When I’m not wanting to play, I’m super snuggly and sooo soft. I like to chew on my bones and lay right next to my human. All I need is the right person to give me discipline and structure, and maybe teach me a few manners! I am a mouthy player, but never aggressive. My tail is always wagging and I never fail to stop for treats! I have not shown any signs of resource guarding, even when my foster mom puts her hands in my food or when another dog takes my treats! I am so loyal and such a fun boy to have as your best friend. All I want is the love and attention I deserve!
