Story
Ryder was found as a stray in rural Georgia and ended up at a high-kill shelter. He was brought up to Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin on 10/26. He was an overall fan favorite at the shelter with his silly and playful personality. He is currently in Brown Deer, Wisconsin settling into his foster home. The best way to describe this boy: he is a silly puppy in a big dog's body! With that being said, he needs a little training to help with the puppy behaviors such as nibbling on foster siblings when they don't want to play anymore, he is getting better about jumping, not pulling on the leash, and other puppy behaviors. Everything about him is just innocent puppy tendencies and we are sure he will do amazing over time with a little training and consistency. He spent the majority of the first part of his life in a shelter so he never really got the chance to learn those things or have anyone to teach him. He seriously is a total sweetheart and does not have a mean bone in his body. He is friendly to everyone he meets! He gets along with his foster siblings great and loves to play with all the neighbor dogs and gives kisses 😘 His foster parents are starting to teach him tricks like sit and shake! 😊🐾 He is working on potty training and doing very well with only a few accidents in the house so far. He is working on walking on the leash and does well in the crate while his people are at work! He is not off-leash yet and needs time and training before he gets to that point. He has not met any cats yet. He would do best in a house with older children or no children just because he does not know his size and strength and may bump into them on accident. He would be great for someone with an active lifestyle and not for an apartment. f you are interested in adopting, please check out our website and fill out an application: www.muttlife.org We are located out of Cedarburg, Wisconsin and adopt out dogs throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states. Story
𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒕: KALI Kali was surrendered to the local animal shelter in rural Georgia through no fault of her own. She is the absolute sweetest dog and loves everyone she meets. She gets along great with all other dogs, cats, and absolutely LOVES kids. It is easy to tell that Kali used to live around kids because she absolutely adores them. She also was previously fostered with 6 cats in Georgia and does just fine with them! She loves to play with toys and other dogs, but is not obnoxious and also knows when to chill. She is fully potty trained, great on the leash, great in her crate, and is just a perfect lady! She would be the perfect dog for a family with kids. She is completely ready to go home with a family and will fit right in! All of the hard stuff is done with Kali so if you are looking for a dog that is already well-behaved, potty trained, good with EVERYONE, and cute as a button, Kali is your girl! She is the bestest girly. Story
Adoptable 💙FLYNN💙 is looking for his forever home! 🥰 FLYNN was surrendered from his previous owner to the local animal shelter in rural Georgia. He just made the trip up to Cedarburg, Wisconsin on 11/16 and is doing well in his foster home! 🐾 He is such a sweet boy who loves to follow you around the house supervising chores, hanging out on the couch watching TV, or going for a walk in the neighborhood. He walks well on a leash, is potty trained, crate trained, and gets along with everyone in his foster home including dogs (even small pups), people, and cats! He does so well playing with all the other dogs and is gentle with the littles. He respects the boss cat in the house and does not acknowledge when the cat is trying to mess with him. He does not jump and has nice mellow energy in the house. Flynn was likely abused before he got to the shelter because he came completely terrified of people, especially men. They worked really hard with him to be more comfortable around people and he has come sooo far! He still gets a little nervous around some men or if there is arguing/yelling. He does not do anything aggressive whatsoever but is just afraid. He seriously is the sweetest boy and it is awesome to see him coming out of his shell more and more every day. He is a big boy so would not be ideal for an apartment dog. Story
Adoptable 💜 𝓡𝓐𝓥𝓔𝓝💜 is looking for her forever home!! She is a very sweet girl who loves to play with other dogs and is a silly girl! She is more on the chill side and is content relaxing next to you. She walks great on a leash and is potty trained with frequent toileting. She does well in a crate and can sleep in there at night or in your bed! She is very smart and will learn tricks easily. She already knows sit, down, and shake and gets very excited when learning new tricks. She would be great for agility or more advanced dog training. She likes to sit and watch things and take in her surroundings. she is super friendly to everyone she meets and LOVEs to play with other dogs.🐾 She was recently adopted, but was unfortunately not getting along with their cat so couldn't stay. She is currently being fostered with 2 cats and does not have any problem with them so it may have just been that specific cat we are not sure. It's so lucky he was discovered and got medical care when he did!  He's doing wonderfully in his foster home, with both dogs and humans. At events he meets children and has done so well with all of them as well! He loves ice, water, food an toys.  Overall- he's a fun, active, sweet boy. Adoption Fee: $350We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are 6 months to 1 year or age. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.  at one of our preferred clinics. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. November 24, 2024, 5:43 pm
