Story
Babka is a small 12 pound, one and ½ year old maltipoo rescue. He is incredibly cute, sweet, goofy, smart and loving and needs a home with someone experienced with fear/anxiety in small dogs. We adopted him 5 months ago with no information about his history. Babka would do best in a single person household where he has room to run/play outdoors and is located in a less densely populated area than where he currently lives. He is hyper-reactive on walks when passing cars, bicycles or people walking. He has recently started a regime of meds to help reduce his fear/anxiety. He is great with other dogs and would do well in a household where there are already other dogs. He needs patience to help manage his fear/anxiety when meeting new people. He can exhibit protective aggression in the house. In the right environment with support and training, he will evolve into an incredible, loving and fun companion. Babka is up to date on all shots, is neutered, and is microchipped.

**Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. ----------- • Rescue Story: Meet Tonki👋 In April 2025, a group of small dogs—believed to be victims of an illegal breeding operation—were found abandoned together on the streets of South Korea. Tonki was one of them. Now, he’s ready to leave his difficult past behind and begin a new chapter as a beloved member of a loving family. Having learned how to live happily with humans in his foster home, Tonki is patiently waiting for his forever home—where he’ll be cherished, protected, and loved the way he truly deserves. • Personality: Sweet, Friendly, Bright Tonki is a lovable, easygoing pup with a bright, happy energy. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves showing his humans just how much love he has to give! While he may need a little extra time to warm up to adult men, once he does, he becomes a loyal and devoted furry companion. • Affinity with - Dogs: Wonderful with other dogs! He’d do great as an only dog or as a second dog. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Good with people, including kids / Needs a bit more time to warm up to adult men. • House Training: Fully housebroken - using pee pads indoors and going potty outside. • Walking Manners: Super gentle on leash and loves going for walks! • Bathing/Brushing: Tolerates both well. • Separation Anxiety: May howl briefly when first left alone, but once he settled, he relaxes and rests peacefully by himself. • Barks/Howls: Occasional barking when a male family member approaches suddenly. • Car Rides: Comfortable and calm • Appetite/Food Allergies: Big eater! / No food allergies found so far. • Likes/Dislikes: Likes to play with toys that make noise. / Not a fan of being lifted suddenly by a male family member • Shedding level (1~10): 1-2 • Health: Currently a healthy pup! He tested positive for heartworm when rescued, completed treatment successfully, and tested negative in Dec 2025. ----------- **Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Story
Sweet baby girl looking for her forever family! ROYALTY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Royalty and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (3/8) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Rockville (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)!     Name:   Royalty        Best Guess for Breed:   Maltese mix   Best Guess for Age: 4 months as of March 2026         SEX:    Female   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):    10.5 lbs as of 3/5/26   Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:    DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Royalty is Looking For:    A name change. She's a bit perplexed - she's just your typical loving happy pup. No snootiness. No special privileges expected. No issues if a pea - or even an entire bag of peas - is under her bed. She just wants what all puppies want. Lots of play time, cuddles, more play time, more snuggles. And then when she's bigger - walkies, romps with pup pals, and world exploration! Most of all - she wants to know she's safe for all her days, where she belongs. She promises so much love and loyalty in exchange.    What do you say? Can you see this scruffy sweetie by your side? Can you think of a better name for her? What My Foster Says About Me: coming soon! Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.      Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than April 22, 2026. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets.   Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at        www.luckydoganimalrescue.org       . Story
Meet Benny, a sweet little Maltese who is looking for his forever home! This adorable little boy is super affectionate and loving, always ready to cover you in kisses. With his tiny frame of only 8 pounds, he is a bundle of energy and joy, bringing life to wherever he goes. Benny is estimated to be 5-6 years old, and despite his size, he has a big personality and an even bigger heart. Benny loves nothing more than running and playing in a yard, and he especially enjoys climbing up for some cuddles and kisses. He's used to being around other small dogs, so a home with a furry sibling could be ideal for this little guy. Although he may be a little shy at first with new people, once he warms up, he's a total cuddle bug who adores attention. Benny recently had a dental procedure and is now feeling better than ever! His blood work shows he's in excellent health, so he's ready to take on the world and find his forever family. If you're looking for a loyal companion to add some sunshine to your life, Benny could be the perfect match. He promises to bring laughter and love to his new home and is eager to find his place in the world. Could you be the one to show him what a loving family is all about https://fs8.formsite.com/Caringhearts/form1/index
