Her curiosity wins often in the home, and she’ll cautiously follow her foster mom around, though she is still shy when approached. My sweet Linnie 💗 Linnie is a 10 year old Maltese little lady who was time stamped at ACCT Philly. Her owners surrendered her to the shelter because it was obvious by her breath that she needed a dental and they said they could not afford it. The team at Zoe’s House, with the help of our wonderful community, got her free of the euthanasia list and into a loving foster home. She was determined to have a serious heart murmur but with medication, she was cleared to undergo surgery to be spayed and to have a dental where the diseased teeth were removed. It was also determined that Linnie has some mammary masses, likely from not being spayed early in her life, which are likely cancerous. Her heart and age caution against the prolonged surgery to remove these masses. Linnie is on a daily heart medication and gabapentin for any discomfort. Linnie is unbothered. She is a lady who knows what she likes and what she wants. She enjoys her meals, long naps thereafter and loving in between. She travels fabulously in the car and walks well on a leash. She loves a pup cup 😋She is house trained and cares not for the crate. She doesn’t need it. She is a true lady who is just hoping to enjoy her golden years close by her human. She is being fostered with other small dogs and tolerates respectful interaction but she would love to be the center of your eye and heart. PLEASE READ BELOW FOR OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK MEET DEXTER the MALTI-CHON-POO North New Jersey Dexter is an 18lb 10 yo Maltese-Bichon-Poodle and the sweetest little dude. Dexter was loved his whole life but unfortunately his elderly owner could no longer care for him. He is loving, gentle, and quiet and would be a wonderful companion for someone who is retired or works from home and wants a buddy to hang out with. Dexter loves to nap and EAT and enjoys meandering around the yard sniffing all the smells. In his former home he didn’t have a yard so he is accustomed to going for walks. He lived with another small breed dog in his former home and currently in his foster home and doesn’t have much interest in them. He very much prefers his human but he is pretty independent as well. He is just an all-around easy going guy that is just happy to have a soft bed and yummy food with some pets and loving in between. Dexter is not a fussy eater but his tummy was a bit of figuring out. He landed on a basic kibble and has been regular since. He was brought UTD, HW negative, had a dental and cherry eye removal (it won’t come back), full blood work and xrays, he is neutered, and he is housebroken for outside but he will use potty pads if available. He is a loving little guy that deserves his special person for the holidays. Lady’s a 7yo 10lb Maltese mix. She’s dog selective, cat and kid 13+ friendly. She’s housebroken if kept on a schedule but will wear a diaper and use pee pads and crate trained. She’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. She’s agile, smart, likes squeaky toys, people and going for walks but will bark at people, dogs and noises. She is easy startled so best to sleep in a dog bed on the floor so not to accidentally wake her while sleeping. Lady’s foster requires a calm home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, be an only dog, brushed/groomed often to prevent matting along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Lady as all dogs should have 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Lady takes medication for a seizure disorder and for her eyes.
