Meet Duke! A 3 year old Mastiff mix that is looking for his forever family. In the home he is house broken, crate trained, and loves to be with his humans. He's very strong on leash and tends to jump and get a little mouthy when he plays or gets excited. A requirement would be no children under 10. He can, however, tend to get too excited and possessive over toys so a family that can maintain boundaries in their home would be required. As for cats... this big boy LOVES them and would have no problem sharing his space with a dog. Story
King was rescued from a Chicago park in July of 2025. He is a fearful, non-aggressive dog. He is not a confident walker and only wants to go back home when he is on walks. He is also afraid when we cook food. When he is not in a fearful state he is an awesome dog who loves tearing up toys, chewing on treats, and playing fetch. He loves to use his nose to find treats. He knows basic commands but can be stubborn and not listen. We have a 7 month old baby so it is hard to give him the attention he truly deserves. He is probably suited to a family with older kids. King jumps on people when he is excited.
