I’m Lokie! A gentle giant who loves people and other dogs. My specialities include power naps and playing. I’m the perfect mix of puppy energy and chill. I'm learning so much with my foster. I'm so lucky! I am a sweet soul who is eager to please. I love everyone I meet including other dogs. I am currently being fostered in the Chicago suburbs but can be transported to my perfect family! **Neutering is required per my adoption contract. The rescue will pay for it at a partner clinic or will reimburse $200 towards my neuter at your own vet**

Story
Meet Max 🐾💙 Max is a 2-year-old Mastiff mix with a gentle soul and so much love to give—once he gets to know you. He does great with other dogs and enjoys their company, making him a wonderful fit for a home with a canine friend. With people, Max just needs a little time and patience to build trust. But here’s the good part—his foster says he’s doing *amazing* and making great progress every day! Once he feels safe, his sweet and loyal personality really starts to shine through. Max would thrive in a calm, understanding home that will let him move at his own pace and continue building confidence. In return, you’ll gain a deeply devoted companion who will form a truly special bond with you 💕 If you believe in giving dogs the time they need to blossom, Max could be your perfect match. Ready to meet him? Apply to adopt Max at: [www.bigdogsdontcry.com](http://www.bigdogsdontcry.com) He’s ready to find his person!

Story
I rescued Durango from an unfortunate situation where his owner became homeless. I felt so sorry for him staying in a car in the cold, below zero weather. I thought i could keep him and care for him but it turns out that there's a rule where I live that you cannot have a dog over 50 pounds. Also as i am getting up in age and cannot handle his strength and energy. I have COPD, emphysema, my health is declining pretty fast. He is very high energy and so strong. He needs obedience training that i cannot afford. He is potty trained very well. Never has accidents and let's you know he has to go out. He is 2 years old and has only had his first shots.

Story
Hi, All Mac, here short for Mac truck lol. If you love big goofy dogs, I'm your guy. I am 100 lbs. of cuddle bug. I really don't think I am as big as they say I am because I would prefer to just be a couch Potatoe and lay next to my people and chew on a bone. I am a people kind of guy and love everyone I meet. I can probably live with another dog, but he would have to be calmer like me. but little dogs and very young children I would be afraid of because I am clumsy and wouldn't want to hurt them. I definitely don't think I could handle cats. But I know a lot of commands they say I am really smart and a fast learner. I am potty trained but do not like cages. I am strong on a leash so I would need a strong owner. Fill out an app here. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdsHBf5NUtvyBYpzWm6Z5Z0JosLBTsDC98oxPTfxtM9brrc7Q/viewform

Story
Hi, I’m Orville.  I am a senior boy looking to relax in a home for my golden years. I will need typical senior care special needs. Dog’s Name: Orville Location: St. Joseph, IL Date of Birth: 06/28/2017 Gender: Male Breed: Mastiff Mix Color: Brindle Dog's Weight: 118 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs Cats?:  All Cats Kids?: Have not tested with kids Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel on command Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Rides Well in car Meet Orville Orville is the definition of laid-back love. This tall, gentle boy is happiest right by your side — truly your shadow in the very best way. Whether you're moving from room to room or enjoying a quiet afternoon, Orville will calmly stroll along beside you. He’s a pleasure on walks and just as easy in the yard, where he prefers to stay close rather than wander. Orville is wonderfully quiet and only speaks up when it’s time to head outside. His house manners are impeccable — he has his potty routine down perfectly and hasn’t had a single accident in foster care. He politely sits for his food bowl and treats, and at this stage in life, he’s more about companionship than chaos. While he may be a little slower these days, that just makes him an easy keeper and an incredibly devoted companion. Orville is quiet and well mannered, great on walks, fully house trained, does not require a fenced yard, will do well as an only dog or with a calm buddy, and an excellent choice for a first-time giant breed owner. Orville isn’t looking for adventure — he’s looking for connection. If you’re hoping for a steady, gentle presence who will faithfully follow you through life’s simple moments, Orville is ready to be your loyal best friend.
