Story
Meet Duke! A two year old Mastiff mix that is looking for his forever family. In the home he is house broken, crate trained, and loves to be with his humans. He's very strong on leash and tends to jump and get a little mouthy when he plays or gets excited. A requirement would be no children under 10. He can, however, tend to get too excited and possessive over toys so a family that can maintain boundaries in their home would be required. As for cats... this big boy LOVES them and would have no problem sharing his space with a dog.       If you are interested in Duke please fill out an adoption application at: https://www.dogsaredeservingrescue.com/adoptable-dogs/adoption-application/January 27, 2026, 12:12 pm

Story
Hi, All Mac, here short for Mac truck lol. If you love big goofy dogs, I'm your guy. I am 100 lbs. of cuddle bug. I really don't think I am as big as they say I am because I would prefer to just be a couch Potatoe and lay next to my people and chew on a bone. I am a people kind of guy and love everyone I meet. I can probably live with another dog, but he would have to be calmer like me. but little dogs and very young children I would be afraid of because I am clumsy and wouldn't want to hurt them. I definitely don't think I could handle cats. But I know a lot of commands they say I am really smart and a fast learner. I am potty trained but do not like cages. I am strong on a leash so I would need a strong owner. Fill out an app here. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdsHBf5NUtvyBYpzWm6Z5Z0JosLBTsDC98oxPTfxtM9brrc7Q/viewform

Story
Hi, I’m Finn and I’m new to the rescue. I am currently decompressing and getting used to my foster family. Check back as my foster family learns more about me! Dog’s Name: Finn Location: Belleville, IL. Date of Birth: 02/07/2025 Gender: Male Breed: English Mastiff Color: Fawn / Black Dog's Weight: 89 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?:  All Cats  Kids?: All kids Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel on command Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Rides Well in car Meet Finn! Finn is a very sweet, affectionate boy who is learning to build his confidence and discovering just how wonderful the world can be. He’s a champion snuggler, a professional kiss-giver, and an all-around gentle soul who truly loves being loved. Finn gets along beautifully with other dogs and is very respectful when meeting them—he’ll politely sniff and wait to see how they feel before engaging. He’s curious about cats and would love to play, but when they hiss he simply runs away, showing just how soft-hearted he really is. He walks well on a leash and surprised everyone by walking right into his kennel on his own as soon as he got home. Finn is still learning about toys and bones, but he’s already discovered that peanut butter and treats are excellent life choices. He understands “no” and, aside from the occasional zoomies (complete with happy barks and playful running), he’s a very calm and easygoing guy. Finn is wonderful with kids of all ages. He met an 8-year-old at PetSmart and was completely unfazed by repeated pets, greeting her gently with sniffs. With toddlers and even babies, Finn was incredibly soft and appropriate—sniffing calmly and even offering a sweet little kiss. He’s affectionate and loves attention, but he’s also comfortable doing his own thing when the mood strikes, making him a nice balance of cuddly and independent. Finn will thrive in just about any loving home. He would be a great choice for a first-time giant breed owner thanks to his gentle temperament and easygoing nature. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, he doesn’t need a canine companion to be happy. A fenced yard is not required—what Finn truly needs is attention, patience, and lots of love. If you’re looking for a kind-hearted, affectionate dog who will happily fit into almost any family, Finn might just be your perfect match. Story
Hi, I’m Ocean and I’m ready to find my forever home. Dog’s Name: Ocean  Location: Waunakee, WI Date of Birth: 6/1/2024 Gender: Female Breed: English Mastiff Color: Brindle Dog's Weight: 83 Gets along with: Dogs?: All dogs Cats?:  All cats  Kids?: Older kids Training: Leash trained: Pulls on leash, but walks nicely with a harness Crate/Kennel:  Goes to crate/kennel on command Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car: Rides well in car - needs to be tethered Meet Ocean! Ocean is doing wonderfully in foster care and continues to show just how special she is. She’s already learned to bark and paw at the door when she needs to go outside and settles into her kennel without fuss—though she may need a gentle reminder that the couch isn’t always an option because, let’s be honest, it is pretty comfy. She rides well in the car, hopping right in on her own. While she may whine a little during drives, she handles outings like a champ and even impressed the vet staff by politely taking treats. Ocean has also met teenagers and, after a brief initial bark, quickly warmed up and became friendly and affectionate once properly introduced. Ocean is a playful, high-energy pup who would absolutely love a canine playmate. She’s been eager to play with her foster sibling and would thrive with another energetic dog who can keep up with her fun-loving spirit. Leash training is in progress and improving, and with more consistent walks, she’s expected to continue doing great. Like many young dogs, Ocean can still get a bit jumpy when she’s excited and may “tag” with her front paws while playing. She’s gentle, mouths lightly, and is actively learning good manners with continued positive reinforcement. She’s shown curiosity about counters but no surfing, and she does a great job distinguishing between her toys and people’s belongings. Ocean will do best in a home with an active family ready to continue training, another playful, energetic dog, slightly older kids who can handle her enthusiasm, and patience and consistency to help her mature into her best self. Ocean is a truly sweet girl with a loving heart and joyful personality. With continued guidance and time to grow, she’s going to be an amazing addition to a lucky family. Hi, I’m Orville and I’m new to the rescue. I am currently decompressing and getting used to my foster family. Check back as my foster family learns more about me! Dog’s Name: Orville Location: St. Joseph, IL Date of Birth: 06/28/2017 Gender: Male Breed: Mastiff Mix Color: Brindle Dog's Weight: 118 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs Cats?:  All Cats Kids?: Have not tested with kids Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel on command Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Rides Well in car Meet Orville Orville is the definition of calm and sweet. Even in just a few short days in foster care, he’s shown himself to be an easygoing, laid-back companion who simply enjoys being near his people. He’ll quietly follow you from room to room, soaking up your presence without demanding attention — just happy to be part of the pack. On walks, Orville is a dream He doesn’t pull on the leash and takes everything in at a relaxed pace. He also did wonderfully at the vet’s office for his exam, showing off his polite manners and gentle nature. When left alone in a room, he doesn’t bark or fuss — he’s content and confident, which speaks volumes about his temperament. Orville would be a great match for a first-time giant breed owner. His mellow personality and good manners make him an easy dog to love and live with. He has shown no issues being around other dogs, calmly coexisting with dogs in his foster home and doing well with dogs at the shelter. That said, Orville would also be perfectly happy as an only dog, soaking up all the love for himself A fenced yard is not required for him — he’s content with walks and being by your side. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal companion with a calm soul and a heart of gold, Orville may be your perfect match Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption.
