Monty’s presence is beautifully grounded and peaceful, and he generously shares it with whomever he meets. Whether he is hanging out with adults, kids, dogs, or farm animals, Monty is a mellow, unflappable companion.
Physical touch and closeness are this big boy’s love language. Monty has absolutely no concept of his actual size and firmly believes he is a lap-sized companion rather than the very large creature the rest of the world sees. He would happily spend his days approximately three inches—or preferably zero inches—from his person.
What his foster wants you to know:
He brings calm, not chaos: While young, energetic dogs around him are busy doing young-dog nonsense, Monty simply observes and moseys through the chaos.
He is livestock-approved: Chickens wandering the yard? He couldn’t care less. Horses? He finds them curious but simply stands back to watch, deciding they aren't quite worth interrupting his regularly scheduled moseying.
He loves a good spa day: Monty accepts grooming as if it were a luxury spa treatment. Bathing him with the hose? Dremeling his talons (er, nails)? Bring it on. Monty appreciates the value of self-care and won't bat an eye.
Mostly, Monty is just a big, gentle love bug who wants to be close to his people and seems perfectly content to take life exactly as it comes.
Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an application online. All approved applications are good for 12 months. Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. All dogs adopted from Just Giants Rescue are up to date on vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Some exceptions may apply. All adoption fees are non-refundable; Just Giants is a NFP 501(c)3 organization.

• Transportation from the foster home to the adopter is the responsibility of the adopter to coordinate. Just Giants does not adopt outside of the continental US.
