Meet Sampson – Your Gentle Giant Couch Companion
Sampson is the definition of a sweet, easygoing giant. This handsome boy absolutely adores children and is incredibly gentle—even with a 13-month-old baby! He plays softly, moves carefully, and seems to instinctively understand just how precious little humans are.
If you’re looking for a velcro dog, Sampson is your guy. He loves attention and is happiest simply being wherever his people are. His favorite activities include lounging on the couch, soaking up affection, and watching the world go by from the window. He’s more of an indoor enthusiast and usually prefers relaxing inside over adventuring outdoors.
Sampson has a tiny stubborn streak (we like to call it “selective stillness”). When he decides he’s done moving, he may sit and remind you that he’s a big boy! But with a little patience and gentle encouragement, he can be coaxed into anything.
He sleeps comfortably in his crate and goes in on command, walks well on leash (we’re just polishing up staying on one side), sits calmly for grooming and treats bath time like a spa day , and gets along wonderfully with other dogs
Sampson is ideal for a first-time giant breed owner. He does not require a fenced yard, as he prefers being walked rather than going outside alone. He would thrive in a home with children and would be happy with or without another dog.

Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online. All approved applications are good for 12 months. Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. All dogs adopted from Just Giants Rescue are up to date on vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Some exceptions may apply. All adoption fees are non-refundable; Just Giants is a NFP 501(c)3 organization.
Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters.
Transportation from the foster home to the adopter is the responsibility of the adopter to coordinate. Just Giants does not adopt outside of the continental US.
