We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the  ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.   April 25, 2024, 11:40 pm

I’m Brock! I’m about 10 years young, but my foster parents think I may be a bit younger. I love going for walks and am great on leash! I enjoy trotting around town checking out new spaces. I get bursts of energy throughout the day, so walks or playtime are needed so I can enjoy my best life. I’d probably enjoy adventuring, but I'm perfectly content to just lounge around. I love playing tug or chasing the ball outside or just relaxing and chewing on Benebones or other chews. Pigs ears and bully sticks are my absolute favorite. I’m also a bit of a foodie! I love trying new foods, but watch out! Sometimes I get over excited about treats and get a little too chompy, so watch your fingers. I love everyone I meet, but because of my size and energy around taking treats, I would do better in a home with teenagers or adults. I look forward to meeting you and hope I can become a special part of your family. Contact: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application. ADOPTION INFO: We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar on our website for the date and time of the next adoption event. Arrangements can be made to meet a dog outside of adoption events after an application is submitted and approved. Our adoption process includes an application and in-home meet-n-greet with the dog. ADOPTION FEE Adult Dogs (over 6 months of age) $250 + $50 refundable Training deposit, if applicable. Puppies (under 6 months) $250 + $50 refundable Spay/Neuter deposit + $50 refundable Training deposit. Senior Dogs $125 +$50 refundable Training deposit, if applicable. **Please note: We encourage all newly adopted dogs to attend basic training (positive reinforcement) class with their adopters as it starts everyone off the right way and helps to build a trusting bond between dog and adopter. In most cases, this will be a requirement and a $50 refundable Training deposit fee will be applied to adoption and refundable upon proof of class completion.

Story
Are you looking for a sweet and lovable cuddle bug? If so, look no further then Elizabeth Bennet! Elizabeth is a happy good who just wants to be in the mix. She is so excited to meet you, and every other person you know. Elizabeth would love to be your little shadow and follow you around, she would make a great companion to everyone she meets. She also loves to get up and show off her silly side, Elizabeth loves to run around and play with toys. She hopes her new home has space for her to play lots of fetch and allows her to run around and get the zoomies. Another one of this girls favorite things has to be snacks, you are sure to win her heart with a few tasty treats or a yummy chew. When meeting dogs here at the shelter Elizabeth appeared interested in making friends but could sometimes be a little nervous and unsure of herself. We strongly recommend she meets all resident dogs in the home before adoption to make sure she is a good fit for your family. She would likely do best with a calm and social dog who will read her cues and give her space when she asks for it. Does Elizabeth Bennet sound like the perfect addition to your family? Come down and meet her today!Elizabeth Bennet's ideal home:- strongly recommend meeting dogs

Story
Range is a sweet guy who loves everyone he meets. He's still learning about his new foster house and how to "listen" to his foster mom because he's deaf. He is learning hand signals and what each one means. He would need a calm home with no little kids or small dogs. 🌞 Approximately 2 years old, neutered male, Boxer/Great Pyrenees mix 🌞 60 lbs 🌞 UTD on vaccines, microchipped 🌞 Potty trained 🌞 Crate trained (but he hates it and will let everyone in a 50 mile radius know!). He does have crate anxiety and will try to get out of left alone to long. 🌞 Velcro dog and has to be his person at all times 🌞 DUE TO BEING DEAF, A FENCED YARD IS A MUST FOR RANGE 🌞 Does well with bigger dogs, with slow and proper introductions 🌞 Very food motivated 🌞 Is a counter surfer and will get any food left on it 🌞 Needs someone patient and caring to love himIf you'd like to adopt Range, go to www.newhopepetrescue.com/adopt to fill out an application. Please check out our adoption process & on-line application here: https://www.newhopepetrescue.com/Adoption Fee for dogs cover the following vetting:1. Story
Meet Flip, the lively and affectionate Mastiff mix with a zest for life! At just 11 months old, Flip is a bundle of energy and excitement, ready to bring joy and laughter to his forever home. With his bright smile and wagging tail, Flip is sure to steal your heart from the moment you meet him.Flip is a true optimist, always looking on the bright side of life. He`s incredibly happy and playful, finding joy in the simplest of things. One of Flip`s favorite pastimes is receiving belly rubs, and he`ll gladly roll over for some extra attention and affection. Flip is also quite the jumper, so he`ll need a watchful eye when playing in the yard to ensure he stays safe. While Flip is friendly and loving towards people, he has never lived with cats and would prefer a feline-free environment.Flip would thrive in an active household where he can burn off his boundless energy through play and exercise. A family or individual who enjoys outdoor activities and has the time and dedication to keep up with Flip`s active lifestyle would be perfect. Due to his jumping ability, a securely fenced yard is essential to provide Flip with a safe space to romp and explore. Flip`s love for belly rubs makes him an ideal companion for someone who enjoys spending quality time cuddling with their furry friend.Flip is still a young pup and may benefit from additional training to further refine his manners and obedience skills.Supervision is recommended when Flip is playing in the yard to ensure he doesn`t escape or get into any mischief. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is: SPONSORED!
