Mrs. Doubtfire came to us as a stray, scared and shut down, but each day she’s showing us a little more of her sweet and loving personality! Once she feels comfortable, she starts to let her playful side shine in the yard and happily enjoys affection from her favorite people. We know there’s so much more to discover about this lovely girl as she continues to come out of her shell. Mrs. Doubtfire is looking for a patient, understanding family who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and settle in. He is housebroken and crate trained and does great in a busy household. He was completely calm and quiet during my mom’s 80th birthday party—even with a loud Filipino family gathering and karaoke happening nearby. An 8-year-old autistic family member played with him through the crate, and he was happy and relaxed. He’s getting better on leash and will come back when called if he starts pulling. He may react to some dogs or small animals but is redirectable. He is very people-oriented, loves attention and wants to be near his humans, but will settle when it’s not available. He’s good with kids, probably 6+, because he’s gentle but doesn’t always realize how big he is. With other dogs, he seems more interested in coexisting than wrestling or playing. He needs a dog that respects boundaries and slow introductions are recommended. He’s very food motivated, although chicken may upset his stomach. He isn’t particularly interested in toys or balls. Car rides are his biggest challenge—he tolerates them but gets stressed, drools and doesn’t settle. Overall, he’s a sweet, affectionate, goofy guy who has made great progress and really just wants to be near his people.

Give her a little adventure, a cozy place to relax, and plenty of affection, and you'll have one happy pup. 🐾 A big girl with an even bigger personality Tuni has a confident, take-charge personality around other dogs, but with her favorite humans, she's more than happy to show off her softer side. That belly will be up for rubs before you know it! She could enjoy having a canine sibling with the right personality and a thoughtful introduction, but she'd also be perfectly happy soaking up all the love as your one-and-only. Her compatibility with individual dogs should be evaluated to find the best match. 🎓 She's already learning the ropes! Tuni knows sit, come, and no, and she's working hard on her next set of skills, including leave it, settle, and off. She appears to be comfortable with a crate, and her foster family has been helping her build a consistent routine. She's learned to sleep through the night and can currently hold her potty for approximately an eight-hour workday. That's great progress! Of course, being able to wait that long doesn't mean she'd choose to spend her day without you. Tuni is a people-loving girl who thrives on companionship. 🐈 What about cats? Cats are still a work in progress for Tuni. She may tolerate a calm, face-to-face encounter, but a cat's meows or movement can quickly grab her attention and send her running over to investigate. Her behavior appears to be driven by excitement and curiosity, but her response to cats is not yet predictable enough to consider her cat-safe. For everyone's safety, a home without cats is recommended at this time. 🧸 Excited? She might grab a toy! When Tuni gets excited and starts jumping, she can become mouthy and likes to grab onto something. One of her favorite outlets is a good game of tug-of-war! Her foster family is helping her learn more appropriate ways to channel that enthusiasm. Because of this behavior, a home with older children, ages 13 and up, would be the best fit. Continued training, consistent boundaries, and appropriate toys will help her keep making progress. 🏡 Tuni's dream home Tuni would love a home with people who want a companion for the everyday moments as much as the big adventures.
