Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from uncertain beginnings and may not have had structure, socialization, or training before arriving at rescue. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should expect to continue training and support after adoption. Like all rescue dogs, Bri may need time to adjust to a new home and routine. Patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement will help her settle in and build confidence as she learns her new environment. Bri will need: Daily walks, exercise, and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine veterinary care and wellness exams Preventative care including flea, tick, and heartworm prevention Proper nutrition and weight management Regular grooming and coat maintenance Mental stimulation and enrichment A safe, stable, indoor living environment Because of her Poodle heritage, regular grooming and coat care will be important to keep her comfortable and healthy. Consistent veterinary care, emotional stability, proper nutrition, and daily companionship are all essential to helping Bri thrive in her future home.
