Meet Waldo! Waldo is a miniature poodle and appx 15 lbs. we were told he is 1-2, but based on his teeth, we *think* he is 3-4, but could be younger and just not proper care. Waldo is VERY sweet and affectionate. He seems to love everyone he meets. He gets along well with other dogs but doesn’t really care for cats. Waldo’s love language is barking. He likes his voice, a lot. He is content by your side, but he lovessss to bark at everything that moves outside off leash. Waldo will be neutered before adoption, but right now he is not and he does mark. Once he is neutered, we hope it will decrease or even eliminate this behavior, but it’s something to be aware of. He is completely crate trained. He absolutely adores children and gets so excited to get attention. He did well for the groomer too. (He currently has some red staining on his fur from chewing/licking from being infested with fleas when we got him. His fur is coming in white behind it now that he has had treatment and will be a pure white poodle as it grows.) Waldo will be neutered, vaccinated, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention (one year ProHeart vaccine), dewormed, and microchipped with free lifetime registration.

Daffodil is a mini-AussieDoodle born on 3-1-24. She currently weighs 9 pounds. Daffodil is 3/4 poodle so will be quite small. She is all white and is deaf. But don’t let that scare you! Deaf dogs are awesome dogs. She is sweet, cuddly, and smart. She walks on a leash and is working on house training. Her new family will need to keep training her. I'm a very handsome Miniature Poodle, and I'm discovering the joys of comfort and love in my foster home. Each day brings me more confidence, and I'm eager to share my overflowing love with a special someone—maybe that's you! I am a bit timid, sudden movements, commotion, and loud noises still make me a bit uneasy. However, I'm getting better at facing these fears every day. When foster mom is still, I'm all about those loving pets and cuddles. But if she's on the move, I keep my distance—I even bolt if she walks toward me. I know commands like "outside" and "stop," and leash and potty training are still on my to-learn list. I'm 95% potty trained, especially with a consistent routine. A fenced yard is a must for my adventurous spirit. I'd love to have a canine companion to show me the ropes, help me 'dog' properly, and boost my confidence. We're working on some manners, and my foster pals are excellent teachers. Walking on a leash needs some practice, and a confident pal by my side would be perfect. Despite being easily startled and a bit hand-shy, I've found joy in playing with toys, furry friends, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. I'm all about giving kisses, nibbling fingers, and enjoying ear scratches. Zoomies are my specialty, especially in the fenced yard or on the stairs. I've got some manners to polish up, like waiting for my turn and distinguishing between toys and household items – hee hee! Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    I’m fairly new here but have been gaining confidence by the day!  As with most dogs, when I first meet someone, I’m a little shy and timid.  I’m really curious inside and want to be near so it’ll just need a bit of time to know that you’re a safe space for me.  I’ve been learning about trust and now I’m more apt to stay put than run, when approached.  Once I’m picked up I just melt right in for love.  That’ll likely be my personality all the time once I know you’re my people.  I’ve just started sleeping on my foster’s leg and inching my way up to hopefully a lap soon. In my spare time I enjoy eating and playing with other dogs.  I’m trying hard to follow along and go potty outside but as close as I am to getting the hang of it, I might need a little transition time to learn it at my forever home too. I do well in the kennel and am working on going inside on command.  Won’t that be a neat trick?! I do need a fenced yard in my forever home. When it is time to put on a leash and harness, I get worried. We are practicing how to stay put nicely to put on a harness without bolting.  HAHA  I’m tricky like that.  I haven’t really had any true leash walking experience so that’s something we can practice.  I do know the command for “stay” which is what I’m told when they want to wrangle me in the harness.  I have been snarky with some of the other dogs here when it comes to my food.  I have to tell them to buzz off, that it’s mine.  That seems to be all it is, as I’m not aggressive.  I can be an only dog too if you’d like. Regina is my name, quite a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Now, it’s not like a lady to share her weight, but if I must, I’ll make the exception this one time. I am a 26 lb adult poodle, and while some other dogs are okay calling themselves a “good girl” I would say I am more of a refined lady. I mind my p’s and q’s, I wouldn’t dare cross your personal boundaries until I am invited to which I will gracefully accept your invitation. I will stand and give you a greeting hug and put my arms around you in a gentle fashion.        I am rather intelligent and am of the curious kind. If my senses are heightened by a delicious scent from the countertop, I must admit, I may explore but only when I know something is obtainable. Perhaps keeping delicious morsel treats a tad bit higher will keep my nosy nature at bay, which will likely lessen a counter surfing opportunity. Because of my intellect, I will remember where you keep treats, so, take note.        Despite my small frame, I move with elegance, like a graceful horse in stride. Though I have not been around children or felines, I am gentle and calm in spirit, so I do believe my patience will carry over if either were present in my new home. I do not mind other dogs of any size, but I love being with my person, a home without another canine could be ideal. I’m sure either will be quite alright.       I do prefer to be near my master, but will remain quietly poised in my kennel if that’s where you desire me at times, I also understand the command. While I often do not choose to speak, if prompted by another playmate, I may whine until the barking stops. Because I am a smart cookie, puzzle games are a great joy to me, along with treats and food being a delight as well.        I’m hoping my new home has a fenced yard, I don’t enjoy unnecessary sights and sounds, and an area that’s familiar would keep me in a gentler state of mind. I am working on potty training, I go outside, and I do use bathroom pads in the middle of the night, but I do need practice. I would think that with some extra attention in this area, maybe a schedule, I will likely pick up on cues in this area quickly. Perhaps allowing me to have free reign in the home when you are gone will have to be a reward that I must earn because of this reason, which is quite alright as I stated earlier, I don’t mind the kennel.       Well, look at the time, I must take my afternoon nap. Snapshot of Bentley: Size? Small Activity Level? I play hard and snuggle harder! Noise Level? I bark to let you know when something is happening but quiet down quickly. Good with Dogs? Yes! Good with Cats? Yes! Good with Kids? Yes! Good with Strangers? Yes, I need time to warm up to men though. Potty Trained? Yes! Crate Trained? Unknown Shedding? Minimal About Bentley: Bently is a super friendly and very cuddly pup! He came to TCPR after he found himself at local animal control and nobody came to get him. He instantly loves all women and children but learns to love men after he gets to know them. When he first meets men, he will bark at them. But he settles down after a few minutes. Bentley is potty trained and walks pretty well on a leash. We haven't trained crating him but we anticipate that he would pick up on crate training pretty fast given how smart he is! He has lived with cats and dogs in his foster home as well and does well with both! He's a great mix of trying to play with the dogs but also respecting their boundaries when they don't want to. He is generally quiet unless there is something happening that he wants you to know about or there's a new man that he's trying to warm up to. We've found that treats and taking things slow with him are the best ways to help him adjust to a new male in the house. His favorite activities include chewing on squeaky toys and nylabones. But he also loves snuggling up with his people and giving kisses! He thinks kids are the BEST but he also is really good at stealing food. So if he sees a kid walking by with a treat, he may try to steal it (gently of course) since they're more at his height. Overall, Bentley is an awesome dog who will be a great addition to most families! He has been easy to train and quick to adjust to our family and routine. He just needs more positive experiences with men to help overcome his fear. He can't wait to meet his forever family! Bentley is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for his age. After being bounced around, Ozzy's ready to settle down in a home where he’s cherished and understood.  Although Ozzy is listed as a Poodle, my thought is he is more of a terrier mix so yes, he does shed and is not hypo-allergenic :) Ozzy is a certified people-lover. He’s your shadow, always by your side, whether you’re working, sleeping, or just chilling. His loyalty is so strong that he gets pretty bummed out when you leave, so a home without shared walls is best for this vocal buddy. Kennels are a big no-no for Ozzy; past experiences have left him with a fear of them, so he’s kennel-free. When Ozzy first arrived, he had some anxiety, but with patience and guidance from his doggy pals, he’s learned the ropes. He enjoys the great outdoors, running and rolling in the backyard. While he’s not big on playing with other dogs, he’s happy to coexist with them. Ozzy has a knack for dashing out the door—think “run like the wind”! I'm a little cautious around people and don’t like loud noises or a lot of commotion, so I’m not sure if kids are a good fit for me! I admit that I follow my foster mom everywhere, not necessarily because I want her attention, but because I want to know what she’s up to. Unless, of course, she’s giving the other pups attention—then I must be part of the action! Hee hee! I love playing with toys and eating treats. I've even started taking treats from my foster mom’s hand. Yay for me! I’m still working on potty training and doing great if kept on a routine. I also don’t like the kennel or crate. In fact, I will holler a lot when I first go into the crate and randomly throughout the night, so just for the record, you have been warned! Hee hee! I will need a dog companion and a fenced yard in my new home so we can safely explore and play together. At home, I’m lovingly shy. I kiss my foster mom in the morning and get really excited when she asks, "Are you ready to eat?" I still have to be on two leashes when I go out in the yard, but I’m coming back into the house with less hesitation now. I love other dogs and do zoomies with them in the house. Chewing on bones, especially rubber ones, is one of my favorite pastimes. Plus, I'm a super smart girl who already knows what "sit," "stay," "down," "leave it," and "go potty" all mean. I even know how to "give a kiss"! I’m looking for a fur-ever home with someone who will love me unconditionally, never give up on me, and patiently allow me the time and space I need to become comfortable in my own way. Hi, my name is Corbin and I am a very shy and timid puppy that is ready to find my forever people with patience, toys and lots of love to help me be the best I can be! I’m very afraid of being touched by humans but I do love them.  I’ve been brave enough to lick my foster mom’s hand but I’ll run away if you try to hold me or pick me up.  With time, lots of patience and love, I’ll get there.  I’m getting a little better every day but when things are scary, they’re really scary! You have to understand that I likely have never been in a loving home so sounds like the TV, clanking dishes, the horrible vacuum and lots of commotion might make me a little worried. I have shown foster mom that I do have some puppy antics in me, hee hee! I like to play with soft toys, run around the yard and wrestle with the other dogs in my foster home. So, it’ll be important that I have a good doggy role model in my forever home to help me learn that touch isn’t scary and keep learning. A social, well-balanced and confident dog is required. This means that my buddy will need to show me humans are safe, how to get on a potty routine and teach me which toys are the best! My fur-brother and the other dogs in my foster home have been amazing teachers! I am still working on my dog skills like potty training. We go outside on a routine, but I will still need of practice in my forever home. Foster mom wants to let you know that I am smart – I already know what “go potty” means! We tried kennel training, and oh boy, I will tell you how much I don’t like it! Bark bark! Foster mom uses gates for the dogs when she isn’t home. I also bark at her when she comes home – maybe I’m telling you I’m glad you’re home, or maybe I’m filling you in on what happened when you were away!  Also, a fenced yard is required as I don’t have a leash or tie-out experience. This is very important for potty training too. My foster mom said I’m fun, adorable, learns quickly and likes to play with other dogs and that I play hard!  Oh and that I have a wonderful appetite! I will let you know with a bark bark that I am excited for dinner! I’m just an overall, very happy dog who loves the feel of the sun on my face when I’m sitting outside, other dogs and treats.  All I need now is a forever home with lots of patience, unconditional love and a family that will help me be the best I can be! My name is Dwight, and I'm an adorable 15-pound BichonPoo with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. At just 1 year old, I'm still young and learning about the world around me. Let me tell you a bit more about myself. What do you do when you’re a little guy who is just learning all the things that make being a dog wonderful?  You find a forever home that will help guide you through it and exposure you to all the love and patience you can have.  I’m so unsure of things that I need assistance from my loving foster mom who helps me and reassures me in just about everything she can but I also will need another dog in my forever home who can show me all about being a dog and help me be confident.  I'm a loving guy who absolutely adores playing with my foster sister. We have a blast chasing each other around the yard and doing zoomies. I'm a little timid, but every day I'm becoming more confident and comfortable in my surroundings. When I'm outside, I need to be on a leash for extra safety, but I'm getting better at coming back from the fenced yard into the house without any trouble. I'm a great eater and a bit mischievous, which adds to my charm. In the mornings, I love to wake up my foster parent by licking their ear—I'm such a sweetheart! I do have a few fears, like loud noises and a lot of commotion, so if there are kids in my forever home it would be best if they are older. Potty training is a work in progress for me; I know to use a potty pad and go outside, but I still have occasional accidents inside. I'm not crate trained, but I don't mind because I prefer to have a bit more freedom. Some of my favorite activities include chewing on bones and playing with plush toys. I do bark when my foster parent comes home and when I see a dog on the TV—it's just my way of saying I'm excited! I need to be in a home with another dog to help me build trust and get into a good routine. With patience and love, I'll continue to grow more confident.
