She was surrendered by her previous owners in Texas and brought into rescue with Ruff Start.  This sweet girl is already leash trained and crate trained.  Dezi likes a crate to use as "Her spot", and will willingly go there when she feels overwhelmed, but she really loves her humans and prefers to be with them all the time.  Her current texan foster family lets her sleep with them and that's what Dezi truly prefers.  Dezi is also potty trained, but we always expect some regression during periods of change.  If kept on a consistent schedule of potty breaks and kenneling when gone she should be back on track right away.   Dezi was a bit skeptical of her current foster family when she arrived.  She was pretty aloof for a bout 4 days and then she woke up that fourth day and decided.. these guys aren't so bad after all.  Once she picks her person she is very affectionate. She bonded with her foster mom immediately, but will avoid her foster Dad and most other men. She sometimes barks at her foster Dad as if she is protecting Mom, but he just ignores her. It is all bark only.  Dezi's whole world is her foster mom.  She is absolutely a people pleasing velcro pup after that decompression time.  Dezi has not been tested with Kitties yet, so slow intros and keeping any resident kitties safe would be advised.  Dezi has also not been around children, but older respectful kids would probably be just fine.   If you're looking for a four legged partner in crime, she's your girl!  If you think that Dezi sounds about as perfect as she can get, go fill out an adoption application today!  She can't wait to meet you!   They arrive in Minnesota on 2/7/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Enzo is an affectionate, gentle little poodle who truly shines once he feels safe and settled. He loves his people and enjoys being close, but he can startle easily—sudden noises can catch him off guard. Because of this, Enzo will do best with a patient adopter who understands shy or sensitive dogs and is willing to help him continue building confidence. Enzo gets along very well with other dogs and has lovely manners. He needs a home with another friendly dog to help show him the ropes and give him reassurance. He’s not high energy and is content with a calm, predictable routine. He is a good eater, sleeps nicely in his kennel, and kennels well when his foster runs errands for a couple of hours. Yep, that's me. I am a sweet, affectionate, goofy, mini poodle who loves and wants to please his people. When I wag my tail, my body shakes and it brings smiles and laughter to those around me. I enjoy toys, back rubs and cuddling. I'm usually a quiet, reserved guy who doesn’t cause trouble. Couches are great. I can be afraid of noises and new things but I am learning to understand and trust my world. I know the sit and come commands. He may start out skittish, but once he chooses his person, he becomes a loyal little shadow who wants nothing more than to be close. Rigel tends to feel more comfortable around women and can be unsure of men at first, sometimes barking or growling when he’s nervous. With consistency and calm reassurance, he settles and has even been known to curl up next to his foster dad once he feels safe. Now that he’s gaining confidence, Rigel is beginning to show his playful side. He loves small stuffed toys, nightly chew sessions with bully sticks or pig ears, and cuddling on the couch or in bed. He enjoys being out and about as long as his trusted person is right beside him, and he rides quietly in the car. Rigel does best with another dog in the home—preferably one similar in size—who can help him continue learning how to be a confident house dog. He has lived with cats and done well, and he gets along with most dogs, though he avoids pushy or cantankerous personalities. A fenced yard is important for him, as he loves the freedom to explore safely. Potty training is coming along nicely with a schedule, and he knows cues like “outside” and “go potty.” Crates are not his favorite and he takes time to settle, but he does well when riding in one in the car. Rigel is a sweet, intelligent little dog who blossoms with patience. Once he bonds, he is affectionate, cuddly, and devoted. He will thrive in a calm home with considerate older kids or adults, a gentle canine companion, and someone willing to give him the time he needs to trust. From her foster: Bianca is a gentle, affectionate miniature poodle who truly shines once she feels safe. Her favorite place in the world is right by your side, especially if that includes a cozy lap, soft pets, and plenty of cuddles. She’s happiest simply being with her people and soaking up affection. Bianca can be shy at first, particularly with new men, but with patience and kindness she warms up and forms deep, loving bonds. In her foster home, she gets along well with an older dog and enjoys simple games like chasing tossed kibble. Treats are definitely the way to her heart! She’s still gaining confidence on leash and currently uses pee pads, though she does go outside at times as well. At bedtime, Bianca loves sleeping with her people but is also comfortable resting in a covered kennel, especially if she can keep the door open.
