Story
Dixie is SUCH a sweet and loving girl. She would love a family with a big yard in which to play and a couch so she can snuggle with you. She gives wonderful hugs. Dixie was born about Sept 2024 and is a 32 pound love puppy (though fully grown). We don’t know her breed… mountain cur, some small bully? We do know she is affectionate and intelligent. She is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. She has one problem and we DO have the solution. Dixie has a condition called Diabetes Insipidus. This is probably NOT the diabetes you are familiar with. She does not need insulin shots but she does require a twice daily pill; Desmopressin. The rescue will reimburse the adopter for her medication monthly and for her required checkups for her lifetime. She does require a secure above ground, fenced yard as she was found loose and lost once. Please use our adoption application form found at https://www.jackrusselladoptions.org/adopt-a-dog/

Story
Meet Scrappy. Scrappy is a Mountain Cur and Red Heeler mix, and he is the perfect balance of fun and affection. He is a very playful boy who loves to engage, explore, and enjoy puppy life, but when playtime is over, he is also a big-time cuddler who is happy to settle in close. Scrappy is extremely intelligent and is already showing signs of being very easy to train. With his mix of highly intelligent working breeds, he is eager to learn, quick to catch on, and enjoys having a job to do. This combination of brains and affection makes him a truly special pup. Scrappy has all the potential to grow into a loyal, well-rounded companion for the right home that will continue his training and give him the love and attention he deserves. If you think Scrappy could be a great addition to your home, apply for him today.

Kora is a charming and petite French lady, and we suspect her French heritage comes from the countless kisses she shares! Energetic and playful, she is one of our most active dogs, making her an ideal hiking companion. Kora gets along well with children and male dogs alike. She is familiar with basic commands, radiates love, and is excited to meet you!   Adopt - Foster - Sponsor   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 3, 2025, 2:24 pm

Story
Pepper is a 7 year old cattle dog and I have had her for 5 years. She is very active and loves to walk/run on leash. She knows simple commands , loves riding in a car. She is not destructive when confined to a space by herself. She has never met a stranger and is very friendly to everyone. She is good with children and has lived with two cats and two other dogs for 5 years. She sleeps through the night on a dog bed or couch and is completely house trained. She has no health conditions and is vaccinated. Now that another smaller dog has entered the home she has gotten in numerous fights with her . She is typically aggressive toward other dogs and cannot be trusted with our smaller dog after numerous fights.
