Dixie is SUCH a sweet and loving girl. She would love a family with a big yard in which to play and a couch so she can snuggle with you. She gives wonderful hugs. Dixie was born about Sept 2024 and is a 32 pound love puppy (though fully grown). We don’t know her breed… mountain cur, some small bully? We do know she is affectionate and intelligent. She is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. She has one problem and we DO have the solution. Dixie has a condition called Diabetes Insipidus. This is probably NOT the diabetes you are familiar with. She does not need insulin shots but she does require a twice daily pill; Desmopressin. The rescue will reimburse the adopter for her medication monthly and for her required checkups for her lifetime. She is estimated to be about a year old so she still has that puppy energy and would do best in an active home. Pepper is a 7 year old cattle dog and I have had her for 5 years. She is very active and loves to walk/run on leash. She knows simple commands , loves riding in a car. She is not destructive when confined to a space by herself. She has never met a stranger and is very friendly to everyone. She is good with children and has lived with two cats and two other dogs for 5 years. She sleeps through the night on a dog bed or couch and is completely house trained. She has no health conditions and is vaccinated. Now that another smaller dog has entered the home she has gotten in numerous fights with her . She is typically aggressive toward other dogs and cannot be trusted with our smaller dog after numerous fights.
