Story
Meet beautiful Diamond! Sadly, she was surrendered to the shelter on 5/28 because her family is moving and could not take her along. Her former family did note that Diamond is house-trained, good with children, and good with other dogs! The volunteers remember Diamond from when she was just a puppy before she was adopted, so it’s especially heartbreaking to see her back at the shelter. Diamond is a loving, playful, curious, and intelligent girl who is ready to find a forever family to love her for life. She already knows several commands, including sit, down, and stay, and she enjoys learning and spending time with her people. If you’re looking for a fun companion to join you on walks, adventures, and cozy time at home, Diamond would love to be your new best friend! Diamond is approximately 11 months old, and weighs 47 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, has been spayed and microchipped, and did test negative for heartworms. Please come meet Diamond in kennel 48; her ID # is 16559. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Dixie is SUCH a sweet and loving girl. She would love a family with a big yard in which to play and a couch so she can snuggle with you. She gives wonderful hugs. Dixie was born about Sept 2024 and is a 32 pound love puppy (though fully grown). We don’t know her breed… mountain cur, some small bully? We do know she is affectionate and intelligent. She is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. She has one problem and we DO have the solution. Dixie has a condition called Diabetes Insipidus. This is probably NOT the diabetes you are familiar with. She does not need insulin shots but she does require a twice daily pill; Desmopressin. The rescue will reimburse the adopter for her medication monthly and for her required checkups for her lifetime. She does require a secure above ground, fenced yard as she was found loose and lost once. Please use our adoption application form found at https://www.jackrusselladoptions.org/adopt-a-dog/

Story
Dally Your Little Shadow with a Big Heart Dally is 4½ years old and as sweet as they come. She came into rescue as a devoted mama and raised nine beautiful puppies — all of whom have found loving homes. Now it’s finally her turn to be someone’s whole world. Dally lives in a foster home with big dogs, a little 10-lb pup, a cat, and kids — and she fits right in. She’s crate trained and 99% potty trained… she just prefers a little company for her potty breaks. If you don’t walk out with her, she’ll politely sit on the porch and wait for her favorite human to join her. She’s not dramatic — she just believes everything is better together. Dally is the ultimate companion. She’ll follow you from room to room and happily curl up beside you on the couch. She doesn’t ask for much — just love, reassurance, and a forever family to call her own. After raising nine babies, it’s Dally’s turn to be the baby. Apply for consideration to adopt at www.ruffdogrescue.org  Please note, we receive a large number of applications. We appreciate your patience as we complete our review processes. A personal interview, reference checks, meet and greet with pet, home visit and a solid vet history are required for adoption.  Ruff Dog Rescue—Turning RUFF Starts into New Beginnings. ##2508352##

Story
My (Braydan's) adoption fee is sponsored by someone who loves me!   With legs for days and fur as soft as velvet, this boy is quite the handsome gentleman. In true gentleman fashion, he loves to take the time to get to know and appreciate you. He is definitely a ladies’ man at heart, but can charm over a patient man.    Braydan is around 6 years old and 60 pounds. He’s a lovely walking companion and also has wonderful house manners. He’s a gentle soul and appreciates other dogs with that same energy, he would like to be the only dog, or have a companion dog that is not over-active. Some of his favorite things include car rides, dental chews, and time spent with his favorite people. Since he thrives in a quieter environment, a home without young children would be ideal.    Could you use a gentleman in your life? Foster OR adopt Braydan.  .           March 7, 2026, 7:49 pm
