Story
This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained so would need to relearn it. She does well in a car and is okay on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and probably not a fan of cats. She will need time to warm up to a person but is just a sweetheart when she knows you! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy. She is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
🐾 Meet Clover! 🐾 Clover is a sweet, smart, and playful pup looking for her forever home! She’s almost 2 years old, about 30 lbs, and made a big journey from Texas to Illinois in search of the perfect family. This girl is quiet and gentle, only barking when following her loud foster brother’s lead. She’s a total lovebug who adores belly scratches and giving kisses to show how much she loves you. Clover is also incredibly intelligent—she learned the potty schedule in just a few days and has even figured out how to open the screen door! While she’s been known to dash outside, she never goes too far and is learning to wait patiently before heading out. Clover loves outdoor time—she gets zoomies, jumps around with excitement, and plays like a pro. She’s visited the dog park, where she quickly made new friends, showing off her lightning-fast speed, baseball-style slides, and playful army crawls to fake out her doggy pals. She’s slowly mastering tug-of-war but prefers running circles around her foster brother to wear him out. While Clover is gaining confidence every day, loud noises still make her a little nervous. She wasn’t a fan of baths at first, but once her foster mom switched from the shower head to pouring water with a cup, she relaxed and stayed put. At home, Clover enjoys couch naps, playing with her 70 lb foster brother, and spending time with her two human foster siblings (ages 11 & 13). She’s also a little too smart for her own good—after discovering where the treats were hidden, she opened the door and took the whole bag! But once told “no,” she never did it again. Clover is such a loving, clever, and playful girl who’s ready to find a home that will appreciate her sweet nature, embrace her playful energy, and continue helping her grow in confidence. Story
Meet Kenji (aka Ginger)! 🐾 This sweet 4- to 5-year-old cur mix, weighing around 40 pounds, is looking for her forever family. Kenji has been affectionately nicknamed Ginger by her foster mom, and she’s thriving in her foster home. Kenji is already housebroken and loves following her human around. She’s fantastic with kids, happily living with 11- and 7-year-olds, and was a star with a visiting 3-year-old. She currently shares her home with a small foster dog brother. While her momma-dog instincts occasionally come through to keep him in line, they are getting along well. She hasn’t yet been introduced to cats. At night, Kenji is a dream sleeper—she rests quietly in her crate without a peep. During the day, she enjoys zooming around the fenced yard but is equally happy curling up indoors for long naps near her favorite humans. Kenji is shy with new people but quickly warms up into a loving and cuddly companion. She is gentle when taking treats, learning her basic commands, and starting to figure out the fun of toys. She has about two weeks of activity restriction left as she finishes heartworm treatment but is doing great and ready to bring her gentle, loyal energy to your home. Could Kenji (or Ginger!) be the perfect fit for your family? Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . Story
Hello, I’m Tony (Anthony)! I am a playful and smart 1.5 year old Mountain Cur mix with a handsome brindle coat. I am just over 40 pounds, making me the perfect medium sized pup. I had a rough start down in Texas, but got a second chance at life thanks to Safe Haven and my foster family! When I arrived to my foster home, I knew no basic commands. I now know “sit”, “shake”, “down”, “leave it”, and “speak”! I am completely housebroken and crate trained. Most nights I snuggle with my foster family in bed, but I also find comfort in my crate and will sleep soundly in there throughout the night. I love my foster family’s resident dogs and get along and play respectfully with them. Tug of war is my favorite! I also do pretty well on a leash and love to take walks. I enjoy lick mats, snuffle mats, and enrichment puzzles to keep my mind busy too. While I have learned to respect my foster family’s resident cats, I would probably do best in a home without them. I would, however, thrive in a home with another playful pup! I have not met any kids, so I’m not sure how I would do with them. I am still getting socialized and am a little weary with strangers, but if you give me treats I warm up pretty quickly! If you are ready for a loyal and playful companion, I just may be your perfect match! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . Story
Meet Boone Boone is a 12 week old Cur mixed breed weighing around 20 lbs. He is a very sweet pup who loves getting undivided attention. He loves playing with his siblings, but also loves getting solo cuddles. He is a genuine people lover all around. This little guy can be shy at times, but he likes making his presence known. He loves to play with his siblings and his foster family, and especially loves belly rubs. He prefers less chaos, more cuddles, and is very set in his ways. His foster mom lets him cuddle on the couch with her, so even though he’s a big chunk, he thinks he’s a lap dog. Boone is a good sleeper who goes to bed without issue and is very routine. When it comes to his training pads, he needs a little bit of reinforcement, but is 95 % accurate. He also loves the outdoors. He just started pawing at the back door to alert to needing to go potty, but his predicable behavior should make potty training him a breeze. When it comes to eating, Boone is a very good boy. He also happens to be a very hungry boy, so he benefits greatly from a slow feeder. Boone is a very loving and cuddly companion and would do well in a home with kids of any age. He is very docile in demeanor and would do well in almost any home. He would love a home with kids, but he will do well with anyone who has time to play with him, as he does like his playtime! He loves other dogs, but would do best with a dog who matches his energy. If you’re looking for someone who is going to be a very loyal companion, this is your guy. Story
Meet Atlas Atlas was the tiniest puppy between his siblings, but has quickly caught up in size . He came to his foster home at a weight of 1.9 lbs and he is now 12 weeks and weighing 15 lbs! He is a Mountain Cur mixed breed with a coat of fur that is slightly fluffier than the rest of his siblings. Softer than the softest blanket you could imagine. He loves to play with his siblings and he has no trouble speaking up to get your attention. He also loves a good game of tug o war and usually likes to play with small stuffies. Atlas is very curious as well. He is aware of his surroundings, but very much likes to explore. If he had his choice of how to spend his downtime, it would likely involve laying on the deck in the sun and chewing on a good stick. He absolutely LOVES the outdoors. Atlas goes to bed in his pen like a good boy, but he does wake up to let his foster mom know he has to go potty. He is a very good boy about that. He is also 95% accurate when using his potty pads. He is currently working on his potty training and learning to go outside. In addition to being a good sleeper, Atlas is also a really good eater. He gets a little over excited when it's time to eat, so he likes to be heard to make sure his voice is heard so his foster family doesn't forget about him. Atlas will do best in a home where someone will let him have some freedom. He does well when crated for short periods of time, but if you have to leave him for a couple of hours, he does better being left to roam in a larger area with a bed and some toys. When it comes to his human foster siblings, Atlas is a good boy for everyone ages 4 and up. He is good with other children of all ages when there is adult supervision too. His foster mom thinks he is best suited for a family with children who are above the toddler stage and know how to be respectful of animals. Atlas does well with other dogs of all sizes, but he does take some time to warm up. Atlas is hoping his future family is out there looking for him. He will be a great companion dog for anyone looking to share their home with a furry friend. Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). .
