You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website - not through a 3rd party service.** Carmi is a beautiful, approximately 1 year old, possible mountain Cur mix (We do not DNA test).  Carmi is housebroken and crate trained.  Carmi does great with other dogs, fine with cats and loves kids.  She is ok with her leash but her foster mom is continuing to work on this skill with her so she can be a pro.  Carmi knows a few basic commands and keeps learning more.  She is very treat motivated.  Carmi also loves a good outdoor patio at a restaurant where she can watch all the sites.  Carmi does not require a yard, but would love one.  If she does not have a fenced in yard she will need regular exercise in the form of walks, playing, etc.   No apartments for this girl, she does bark some but not excessively.  She will probably be around 50-55 lbs.   Carmi’s adoption fee is $400 - which includes core vaccinations (age appropriate), microchip & spay/neuter at one of our contracted vets (if applicable) *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. I am about 10 weeks old and was born in Tennessee. They think we are something called a black mouth cur mix, and I just know I am adorable. A kind person saw my mom was pregnant and a stray and tried to help her, unfortunately she was very afraid of people. The nice people fed her and kept my mom and 4 siblings safe until we were all old enough to move into foster care and find forever homes. We are all very sweet and well socialized. We were all spayed and neutered and received our vaccines and microchips. We have even already attended daycare and did amazing! Named Boo because he came into rescue in the month of Oct., there's nothing scary about this pup! He is very playful and loves playing with his roommate. They share toys and when they are tired, the curl up together. He could use some training to learn a few doggy manners, but he has a heart full of love and only wants to please. This dog is sheltered in a foster based, nonprofit rescue. (We do not DNA Test) Holstein is a handsome boy who loves everybody. Holstein is crate trained and potty trained. Holstein is used to being crated for about 4 hours during the day. He spends his nights out of the crate sleeping on a pet bed. Holstein does very well with other dogs and seems okay with cats. Holstein loves people, and he thinks that he is a lap dog. He likes to lean into people and get all the love he can. Holstein knows basic commands and does great on a leash. His current weight is 96 pounds. He could stand to lose about 7 to 8 pounds. Holstein's ideal home would be an active family that is dedicated to helping Holstein lose his weight. He would also require a  house with a fenced in yard and possibly another canine playmate. Due to Holstein's size, he would need to be supervised around toddlers. Holstein is a great companion that can offer a family lots of love!
