Story
Meet Yellow, a handsome Lab mix who found himself at risk in a municipal shelter in Alabama. Thankfully, he made his way into rescue and now has the chance to find the loving home he deserves. With his sweet face and lovable Lab-mix charm, Yellow is ready to leave his shelter days behind and start a new chapter. He’s the kind of boy who just needs someone to give him a chance and show him how wonderful life can be. We can’t change the way Yellow’s story started, but we can make sure the rest of it is filled with love, safety, and a family of his own. An adoption bio is only a snapshot of who an animal is. For more information about Yellow, including his personality, needs, and what type of home may be the best fit, please reach out to our Adoptions Team. All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption.  Interested in fostering or adopting?  Need more info on this dog?  The first step in the process is filling out an application on our website. Story
Muse is the kind of dog who makes you stop and look twice. With her luminous eyes and rich, velvety chocolate coat, she carries a quiet beauty and an even more remarkable spirit. Her life was once at serious risk at the ACC. Not only was she homeless, she was battling Parvo, a devastating virus that requires intensive, round-the-clock care. In an overwhelmed municipal shelter without the resources to treat her, her future was heartbreakingly uncertain. We couldn’t let her story end there. We stepped in, and Muse has been fighting with everything she has. Muse is a survivor in every sense of the word; affectionate, soulful, and deeply connected to her people. She deserves a forever home that will stand by her the way she has fought to stand here today. All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. Story
Yuzu was rescued from the streets of Kathmandu, Nepal and brought to California, where she spent 6 happy years with our family. We recently moved to NYC, and city life has been too overstimulating for her. We believe she would thrive in a quieter home with nature and patient people. Yuzu is 6 years old, 27 lbs, and incredibly sweet, affectionate, smart, gentle, and emotionally intuitive. She loves people and children, hiking, beaches, sunbathing, squirrels, lizards, and beach zoomies. She is medium-energy and very calm at home. She is house trained, crate trained, has no separation anxiety, excellent house manners, and is great in the car. She knows basic commands and responds to positive reinforcement. She has lived successfully with cats and enjoys gentle dogs she knows. She can be nervous around unfamiliar larger dogs, especially on leash. A quieter home with a yard and access to nature would be a wonderful fit. Please message about yourself and the life you could offer Yuzu. ❤️

Story
Meet Snappy (Islander)! Your Future Best Friend! Hi! My name is Snappy, also known as Islander! I'm a fun-loving, silly, affectionate boy who is ready to find my next foster home while I wait for my forever family. I'm a big cuddle bug who loves being around my people. I enjoy cuddling in bed, getting lots of attention, going on adventures, visiting dog parks, and spending time with my furry friends. I'm a social boy who has lived with multiple dogs and would love a home where I have another friendly dog to play with and keep me company. A little about me:I'm potty-trained and crate-trained.I can stay in my crate while my foster is at work and have been comfortable being home for a full workday. When my foster is home, I enjoy having more freedom around the house.I know commands like sit, stay, and lie down, and I understand cues for going outside and eating.I LOVE food and treats!I enjoy kids, other dogs, water, outdoor adventures, and dog parks.I can pull a little on the leash and may bark at dogs I don't know or particularly like, so I'll benefit from continued leash training and positive guidance. My ideal foster home:I would love a loving, patient home that can give me attention, exercise, structure, and opportunities to socialize safely. A home with another friendly, compatible dog would be wonderful because I enjoy having canine companions. Slow introductions and proper supervision are important, just like with any dog.I'm still learning and growing, so I need someone willing to keep working with me and help me become the best boy I can be. Why I need a foster:Through no fault of my own, I need a new foster home while my current foster works on finding stable housing. I've been loved, cared for, and given a place to grow, and now I need someone willing to open their heart and home to me temporarily.Fostering me means giving me a safe place to land while I wait for my forever family. You could make a huge difference in my life!Could you be my next foster? If you have room in your home and heart for a sweet, goofy, cuddly boy like me, please consider fostering Snappy (Islander). I have so much love to give, and I'm just looking for someone to give me a chance.  My foster dog is good with: Dogs for sure! Curious about cats. Also great with kids3 Keywords for your pup: Goofy, loving, eagerEnergy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 5Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: Mostly quiet! He barks if left home alone but he's ok of left with other dogs. Will settle down after a while Walking Manners: Improves everyday on the leash, just needs some encouragement with big noises very scared and distracting people/birds/dogs on the street., extremely treat motivated so this helps. Knows to potty immediately after going outside on leash.Appetite: HugeFavorite Things: Sleeping in your lap, stuffed toys, sniffing outside, treats!, his daily meals. Love to cuddle and snuggle, and to sleep with you on your bed - working on teaching him how to sleep on his own dog bed. sometimes we'll bark in the kennel if I put them in the kennel at night when I'm ready to go to sleep, that's only he's letting you know he wants to sleep with you, but we're still working on teaching him to sleep in his own bed.Commands/Tricks: Sit, come, learning "Leave it" ##2463978##

Story
Charlie is loyal, loving and beautiful. He gets along with very well with our small family, loves cuddles and affection, does not shed and smells great all the time even without baths. He only needs 2x walks and feedings per day. He can be left alone in our city apartment without issue. Unfortunately, the last year has been very difficult for a variety of unrelated reasons, and having a dog with a small child in NYC has just put us over top in terms of responsibility. We are a very social and active family, and Charlie does not enjoy strangers in the house, including friends of our young daughter, which has made life (and playdates) challenging. We also travel a lot and have been unable to manage care while we are away. Ideally Charlie would find a new home with a loving individual or couple without chlidren who have experience with dogs. He would bring great joy to those who show the same to him.
