Story

We adopted Pop (nickname) a month before we learned we were having twins. We decided to keep him believing that he would be a great big brother to our two forthcoming sons. Unfortunately, three years later, one of our sons has developed asthma and has a serious reaction to his dander, despite us doing our best with a Dyson schedule. Additionally, Mom has recently been diagnosed with early stage cancer and we need to redirect our energy and resources towards this issue. We came to the decision to re-home Pop reluctantly and quite sadly. Pop is an incredible dog, he is patient, funny, great with our kids and great with all other dogs - of all sizes. He has a serious disdain for cats. He walks well, is completely house trained, knows all basics (sit, paw, down, go to bed) and gets loads of compliments for his looks. We are sad to lose him but we know we cannot give him the life that he deserves. Please help us find a new home for Pop.

While cats may run from him, he’s not the type to chase, so he’ll happily share space without causing any fuss. This gentle soul is great with people, especially kids, and loves a good chew on his toys or bones. He’s not a fan of loud noises but is always excited for walks and outdoor playtime. He’s a social pup who doesn’t enjoy being alone, so he’s looking for a loving family to share his heart with!

Seeking a forever home for Bevin who was rescued with her pups in Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa. The pups found homes, and mama deserves one, too! She is due to be sent to the USA in the coming months. All transport and initial medical costs/logistics will be covered, supported by Montego Bay Animal Haven charity. She has been living indoors for a couple of months and has adjusted really well. She is gentle, well-mannered, a complete lovebug, and a bit of a sock thief. She is 4-5 years old and has been spayed, vaccinated, defleaed, dewormed, and fully housetrained. She is stage 1 heartworm positive, but has already begun the treatment protocol. She was previously hit by a car and so has a shattered hip on her right back leg which she is still able to use. Bevin needs a safe place with someone who can give her the time and company she needs to form a strong bond ❤️ With other dogs, she needs calm/gentle introductions. Does better with medium/large dogs than small ones.

As a puppy, Sebastian survived parvo after early intervention and devoted care. He grew into an energetic, affectionate dog who loves being close to his people and involved in daily life. He is wee-wee pad trained, also goes outside, and enjoys walks. He is not neutered and still has youthful energy. Sebastian enjoys other dogs but needs guidance with socialization. I'm a native New Yorker; I was adopted from the ASPCA when I was a puppy, and lived with my family until about a month ago when my parent got sick and couldn't care for me anymore. I miss them so much, and I’m still unsettled, but I still have a lot of love to give to my new family! I’ve been in two foster situations since early January. With the first one, I met her boyfriend and her sister. We lived in a studio, which I liked because I could see my foster mom at all times. With the second home, I lived with 3 people. I love meeting people, but I need a second to see if I can trust you. If you give me belly rubs or let me lie across you on the couch, you’re great in my book. I’m quite spooked by other dogs and am reactive. I’m open to training, but my foster parents must be diligent, and I’ll probably do best without dogs around, at least for the foreseeable future. While I’ve enjoyed playing outside in the snow and like to run on leash, ultimately, I am a total homebody, so being back in an apartment with my blankie and humans is amazing. I don't mind staying home alone either! I'll keep the couch warm for you. I want to trust and feel confident, but the only family I’ve known isn't in my life anymore and I’m a bit confused. Don't call me an old dog yet; I'm still strong and sassy and smart! I have a lot of life left in me, and if you're willing to be loyal to me, I'll be the most faithful family member you've ever had.

At only 11 weeks she has learned some basic commands, like "Sit" and "Down." She is quickly picking up "Paw" and "Stay," too. She is an indoor puppy and within one week with her foster family has become about 90% potty trained on the pee pad. Although she is considerably smaller than her brother, she is spirited and loves rassling with him. She'll bait him to chase her and compete for toys, and she definitely holds her own! This girl has it all -- fun, cuddly, sweet, and, of course, adorable!
