Story

Bernie was my son’s dog. She was a rescue from a reservation in Arizona. She is 6 years old, sweet, completely housetrained, not at all destructive when left alone. We have been keeping her but she does not get along with our cat Cecil who is 8 years old. She loves going on walks, loves other dogs. As often as I can I take her to off-leash in Prospect Park, she loves to run, chase or be chased by other dogs. She is a dear sweet girl but she does not like cats. We live in NYC and she is used to living in Colorado where it is less noisy and there are lots of opportunities to get outside and run. We are looking for a home for her someplace more rural, or at least with outside space, perhaps where there are other dogs so she can have a friend or two. She might be fine with children but we don’t really know as we are in our 60s and it was just her and our son. We will not give her up unless we find a place where she could have a better life with someone kind who has more space.

While cats may run from him, he’s not the type to chase, so he’ll happily share space without causing any fuss. This gentle soul is great with people, especially kids, and loves a good chew on his toys or bones. He’s not a fan of loud noises but is always excited for walks and outdoor playtime. He’s a social pup who doesn’t enjoy being alone, so he’s looking for a loving family to share his heart with!

I rescued her in 2021 and have been trying to get her accustomed to the city but I know she would prefer living somewhere where she had access to a yard. She’s a sweet girl when you’re at home but is very nervous and reactive when on walks.

Sebastian is a nearly four-year-old dog with a playful spirit, loving nature, and a deep desire for connection. Rehoming him is one of the hardest decisions I’ve made, but my hope is to find him a home where he can truly thrive and be understood. As a puppy, Sebastian survived parvo after early intervention and devoted care. He grew into an energetic, affectionate dog who loves being close to his people and involved in daily life. He is wee-wee pad trained, also goes outside, and enjoys walks. He is not neutered and still has youthful energy. Sebastian enjoys other dogs but needs guidance with socialization. He can be vocal when excited, is deeply affectionate and sometimes clingy, and has a sensitive stomach, so consistency matters. With the right person, he will be a loyal, devoted companion.

She doesn't have a loud bone in her body when it comes to the people she loves. Her love language is physical touch, specifically getting under the covers with you. She will find her way under the sheets every single time : P
