Carolina is a beautiful well behaved plott hound. She loves walks and chewing her bone. She loves to snuggle up next you. She is 4 years old. She sometimes has trouble with other dominant dogs. Meet Banjo! Banjo is a 5 year old Plott Hound mix weighing about 65 pounds. He is a beautiful boy with his brindle coat and white chest and markings and he has the most expressive face. Banjo is a sweetheart and a fragile soul that likes to be told he is a good boy and he just wants to please. Banjo loves to be active and is a high energy dog. He enjoys walks, hikes, car rides, and playing. Most of all, Banjo enjoys cuddling with his people on the couch. Banjo struggles with confidence and anxiety issues, but has been working on these things with a trainer and will do wonderfully in the right home while continuing his hard work and with an adopter that is knowledgeable with anxious dogs. Banjo is reactive to new situations and he is learning to come out of his shell and be more engaged in the world and not so selective and nervous around strangers. Banjo is also very food motivated! Banjo is well versed in obedience training and knows sit, crawl, down, stay, bed, speak, and roll over. He is muzzle trained, house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. Banjo will not chew on bones or play with toys and his fosters are working on getting him to learn what toys are. Banjo would be best in a home with a single person or couple. Banjo gets along with other dogs when introduced slowly, he will play with them, and could do well in a home with multiple dogs but needs the proper iand slow introduction with an experinced dog owner. Banjo would prefer a home with no children and likes women more than men. Meet Rosie: Rosie is a 7 month old (as of March 2023) plott hound mix that weighs about 45 pounds. Rosie was abandoned in rural Mississippi near the home of a rescuer who luckily found her and brought her in to safety! She was taken to the vet and cared for and is currently in a foster home in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to meet more prospective families. Rosie is very sweet and gets along with people, dogs and cats. We would love for Rosie to have a home with a fenced in yard to run and play freely. We are unsure if Rosie is house trained, but will be assessing. Rosie is up to date on her shots and spayed. Her name is Arizona.  She’s an 10-month-old mix of Plott Hound mix.   We expect her mature wieght to be about 40 lbs..  Her coat of gray/brindle and white is soft and sleek, really quite lovely, and a joy to stroke. A frightened girl when she came into rescue, she’s now only wary of strangers, but relaxes around them quickly. She’s a girl who definitely needs a companion, a dog she can play with and share toys with. She loves other dogs so much!  It’s when she’s with other dogs that she comes alive, and you can see her happiness in every move she makes! A nice, fenced yard is another necessity for her; after all, how will she get to race around with another dog if she doesn’t have a yard. Oh, and she seems fine with cats, too.  Arizona is crate tyrained and housetrained. Would benefit from some leash training.
