Story
Franky is an adorable sweet brindle boy, 1 1/2 year old and 68 pounds. He is all boy- rough and tumble and just happy all the time. Franky will be thrilled to have another playful dog in his forever home. A yard and active owner is ideal. Older kiddos are fine, too!   He is house, leash and crate trained.   To meet Cowboy Franky in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas.   ##1995570##

Story
Dunston was adopted from the Dallas Animal Shelter last year. As he grew, his size is too much for the small senior dogs in the family. LHS is assisting with helping him find a more suitable home.  This sweet boy is great with dogs, cats and kids. He is not harmful to small pets, the other resident pets are just older and in no mood for a large young pet in their home. He can be trusted to have free roam of the house. He is also crate trained and house broken.  He has been neutered, microchipped and will be brought current on his heartworm test and vaccinations this week. If you are interested in more information and or to set up a time/date to meet him, please complete an online application today at: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/ Age: 2 years old Weight: 52lbsWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. He is a happy-go-lucky fella, who is likes meeting new people while on walks. Story
Reese is the perfect-sized brindle bundle! Her big brown eyes will melt your heart. She is sweet, and goofy, but chill at the same time, and wants to nap next to you all day long! She's about 2 years old and weighs 45 lbs. From what we know she was kept outside most of her life, and because of this she was heartworm positive BUT she is taking her pills every week so she's on the right track! She is playful, silly, sweet, and cuddly. Her likes include treats, food, belly rubs, curling up into a small ball, and napping. Her dislikes include baths and carrots.Reese would do well as your only companion or would love having a furry friend to wrestle and play with. She is learning new things every day and is eager to please for treats! She is potty-trained and crate trained. She loves taking naps at your feet and chewing on bones. She waits patiently for her walk, but it's her favorite part of the day!! If you're looking for a new best friend who's down to hang out whether it's walking or just watching Netflix, Reese is your girl! ##1614754##

Story
Lola was rescued from a local shelter and now her owner has to give her up to no fault of her own.  She is a gorgeous, sweet girl.  She is great with small dogs and seems a bit timid with large dogs but we think she would be fine in time as she gets to know them.  She is obedient and aims to please.  She is about 9 months old, Jan. 2024, and weighs 50 lbs. ##1623586##
