Daisy is a love! She has boundless energy and love to give. She is a little over one year old. We do not have the time she will need for more intensive training. She needs a family who has the time to help her get her energy out every day. We have realized we are not able to give enough to her, and we are hoping to find someone who can. We have two other dogs, and she has been just fine with them. She loves to play with them and bark at the trash truck with them. We had a cat until he died, and she was very aware to leave him be. Daisy is crate trained and doesn’t have accidents. She can’t be left to roam the house, or she will chew things up. She is sweet with all ages of people, but is unaware of her body around smaller kids, and can come crashing through knocking littles over. We are sure she could learn, but again, we aren’t the ones to teach her.

Meet Sloane! She is a 1 yr old spayed female Plott hound/American Staffordshire Terrier mix that weighs 53lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal shelter on 9/4 as a stray. She was adopted on 9/19, yet came in as a stray on 10/5. She is a beauty that has plenty of energy to share. She loves to run around and she will continually try to jump on you until her energy runs out. She has been trained with verbal commands of sit, stay, down, and she responds very quickly to stop jumping. She loves to roll over tummy rubs too. She enjoys being petted and loved on, loves toys, takes treats gently and walks ok on a leash. Sloane also loves to play with water as I was spraying down the play yard. She had a great time! Its important to understand with so much energy she does need plenty of play time and enrichment activities that will help. She has shown no interest in the other dogs barking at her, yet if there is another dog in the home, please ask the shelter for a dog test. She would make a great companion to an active loving family, as she does have so much to give. Providing a secured yard to play in, but most definitely indoors enjoying time with her loved ones. You just can`t help but smile when around Sloane.
