Story
Wade, Weston and Warren are 15-week-old mixes of Plott Hound and Lab! They were found in the woods and a Good Samaritan rescued them and took them to safety. They weigh 9-14 puppy pounds now and should mature to around 45 pounds. These boys are so cuddly and so loving! They love being around people and other dogs, and even do well with cats! Wade wears a short red/brown and white coat while Weston and Warren wear short brown and white coats with a brindle pattern! These pups have great temperaments and are ready to be in their family’s arms! Won’t you adopt one of these precious babies? (ME, 2/16/24)     **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $395 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate.   Transport, if needed  $160   We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.  April 22, 2024, 6:43 pm

Leela absolutely loves to play fetch and is amazing at it. If fetch was an Olympic sport, you would want her on your team! She will be by your side in so many fun activities from playing in the water to hiking up a mountain; she is the sporty sidekick you've been looking for. Need some cuddle time? She will snuggle up right beside you for movie night. When she was young, she was hit by a car, causing permanent damage to her left eye but it causes her no pain and does not require any treatment or medication. You would never know she is blind in her left eye. Leela just wants to be your best friend and aims to please the people in her life. Her reaction to seeing you when you walk through the door will make you feel like the most loved person in the world. Leela would love to finally have a family of her own. Sadly she has been in shelters since mid-2019 and came to us from a municipal shelter in West Virginia. She is an amazing dog with so much to offer and deserves a loving home as much as the next gal. ADOPTION FEE: $0 Waylon is a part of Happy Hounds so his adoption fee is waived!! There's no doubt Waylon is a hound dog. He's got a raspy bay that sounds like Louis Armstrong and a lovable happy-go-lucky personality. When he catches a scent in our fields, he likes to follow it to see where it will lead! He's got the best derpy run and floppy ears that take flight when he runs around our fields. He does like to come in for pets and scratches in between romping in the field. Once you start the massage, he's not going anywhere! The staff has to put a cap on massage time to make sure Waylon gets plenty of exercise too or else the pets and hugs will go on and on and on..... Waylon LOVES to play with other dogs, especially small dogs and puppies. He has done well in both small and large playgroups. Like many rescue dogs, Waylon has had it ruff. He will need an adopter that understands the world can be a cruel place, and for Waylon, it was no different. Waylon has proven to be resilient and forgiving to our kind. Even though people weren't always kind to him, he is ready to make a lifelong bestie out of you. Waylon would not do well in an urban environment.
