Meet Meg, a black-and-tan coonhound mix with timeless hound charm, soulful eyes, and a heart of gold. Her personality truly depends on her environment, revealing two very different—and equally lovable—sides. Out in unfamiliar places, Meg is calm, docile, and a bit nervous. She takes things in quietly, approaching new situations with caution and soft curiosity. She greets people with gentle tail wags and kind eyes, even if she’s unsure at first, and gains confidence the more time she spends with her person. On leash, she’s generally easygoing and comfortable passing other dogs. But once Meg feels safe at home, the transformation begins. In her comfort zone, this mild-mannered hound turns into a high-energy, rambunctious puppy: rough, rowdy, and a little bit wild in the most endearing way. She plays hard; loves to romp and wrestle; and brings big, joyful energy to her indoor playtime before eventually crashing for long, well-earned naps. True to her hound roots, Meg adores running, sniffing, and exploring. She loves other dogs and would do best with a confident, highly energetic canine companion who enjoys rough-and-tumble play and can match her stamina.
