Story
Please contact Paul Slebzak (pauls@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.young girl ready to play! CAMRYN NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!    Come meet Camryn and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Feb. 8th) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Rockville (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)!       Name:  Camryn         Best Guess for Breed:  Plott hound and boxer mix   Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of December 2025        SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight: 50 lbs as of 12/14/25 - she might be done growing or have just a bit more to grow!   Gets Along With:  Camryn has lived with dogs and cats in foster care! We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations: Camryn is shy and needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes.   Camryn is Looking For:   Romps in parks and world exploration by her new humans' side! This pretty girl is eager to burn off all that young-dog energy and make pup and people pals along the way. To get there, she needs extra patient and loving adopters who understand she hasn't seen enough of the world yet and needs a little more support to become comfortable in new environments. A friendly resident dog will show her how to dog too! Most of all, she wants to know where her home is, to know she's safe and loved for all her days. In exchange, she promises happy tail wags and loyal companionship and adoring gazes. What do you say? Does that sound like a fair trade to you? What My Foster Says About Me:   Camryn is a gentle, loving girl who’s blossoming more each day. She’s a sweet and sensitive pup who’s quickly learning that home life can be full of fun and comfort. She loves soft toys, playing tug, and curling up on the couch for snuggles. Camryn has also been great with other animals—she’s friendly with the resident cat and has started to enjoy playtime with her foster’s puppy. Inside, she’s doing wonderfully—no accidents and even sleeping quietly through the night in her crate. She’s food-motivated, which makes her a quick learner, and she’s already starting to explore the house with curiosity and confidence. Camryn is still gaining confidence in the great outdoors, but with time, patience, and continued positive experiences, she’ll thrive. She’s a wonderful mix of sweetness and bravery and will make a loving companion for someone ready to show her the world at her own pace. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Bruno — Tenderhearted, and the Ultimate Cuddle Buddy Bruno is a gentle sweetheart who melts into your arms the moment he feels safe. He can be a little timid at first, but once he trusts you, he becomes the most loving, snuggly companion you could ask for. His calm, soft nature makes him incredibly easy to adore. He’s also doing wonderfully with training. Bruno is learning his basic commands and picking up potty training very quickly—he’s eager to make his people proud and thrives with gentle encouragement. If you’re hoping for a sensitive, affectionate pup who will happily curl up beside you and bring warmth into your home, Bruno is ready to be your loyal little shadow. The adoption fee for this dog is $425. Application for adoption: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FRE/Dog If you are viewing on Petfinder/Adoptapet and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this dog please visit our website, www.frecklesfoundation.org. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Puppies require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training! They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

Story
Meet Snoop Dogg — the bold, curious adventurer of his litter. Snoop Dogg is a lively little pup with a sparkle in his eye and a whole lot of “let’s go!” in his heart. While his siblings are content to nap or snuggle, Snoop is the one leading the charge into new corners, new toys, and new experiences. He’s the puppy who wants to know everything — what’s behind the couch, what’s under that leaf, and why you’re laughing without him. He’s playful, clever, and always ready for a mini‑mission, whether that’s exploring the yard, investigating a crinkly bag, or proudly carrying around his newest “treasure.” But after a good adventure, Snoop is more than happy to curl up beside his people and recharge with some well‑earned affection. Snoop is looking for a family who loves a puppy with personality — someone who will appreciate his curiosity, guide his big puppy brain, and enjoy watching him discover the world with joy and confidence. If you’re hoping for a fun, spirited companion who will keep you smiling, Snoops is your guy. The adoption fee for this dog is $425. Story
Meet Bonnie — the soft‑spoken sweetheart of her litter. Bonnie is a darling little brindle pup with gentle eyes and an even gentler spirit. While her siblings bounce around in full puppy chaos, Bonnie prefers to sit back, observe, and take the world in at her own pace. She’s the quiet one — the kind of puppy who melts into your arms, listens intently, and makes you feel like you’re her whole universe. She loves snuggling, exploring the yard at a slow trot, and curling up next to her people once she’s done adventuring. Bonnie may be on the calmer side now, but she still has all the puppy curiosity and sweetness you’d expect — just delivered with a softer touch. Bonnie is looking for a loving family who appreciates a thoughtful, tender‑hearted puppy and will help her grow with patience, kindness, and plenty of cuddles. If you’re hoping for a gentle companion with a heart of gold, Bonnie might be your perfect match. Story
To learn more about Meg, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Meg will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Meet Meg, a black-and-tan coonhound mix with timeless hound charm, soulful eyes, and a heart of gold. Her personality truly depends on her environment, revealing two very different—and equally lovable—sides. Out in unfamiliar places, Meg is calm, docile, and a bit nervous. She takes things in quietly, approaching new situations with caution and soft curiosity. She greets people with gentle tail wags and kind eyes, even if she’s unsure at first, and gains confidence the more time she spends with her person. On leash, she’s generally easygoing and comfortable passing other dogs. But once Meg feels safe at home, the transformation begins. In her comfort zone, this mild-mannered hound turns into a high-energy, rambunctious puppy: rough, rowdy, and a little bit wild in the most endearing way. She plays hard; loves to romp and wrestle; and brings big, joyful energy to her indoor playtime before eventually crashing for long, well-earned naps. True to her hound roots, Meg adores running, sniffing, and exploring. She loves other dogs and would do best with a confident, highly energetic canine companion who enjoys rough-and-tumble play and can match her stamina. Meg is sweet-natured, people-friendly, and not aggressive—just bursting with enthusiasm. Meg is still learning that containment equals safety. She needs continued support getting comfortable with barriers like baby gates and crates. She has made some progress with nighttime crate training, and her forever home should be prepared to keep building her confidence with patience, consistency, and reassurance. Meg would thrive in a quiet suburban or rural home with a secure fenced yard and low-traffic walking areas. With the right environment and understanding of her “two sides,” she will blossom into a loving, loyal, and endlessly entertaining companion. If you’re a hound lover with space, time, and an active lifestyle—and you appreciate a dog who’s equal parts gentle soul and playful whirlwind—Meg is ready to sniff out her forever home with you.
