Story
Please contact Paul Slebzak (pauls@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.young girl ready to play! CAMRYN NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Camryn and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (3/29) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church, VA (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!   Name:  Camryn         Best Guess for Breed:  Plott hound and boxer mix   Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of December 2025        SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight: 61 lbs   Gets Along With:  Camryn has lived with dogs and cats in foster care! We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations: Camryn is shy and needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes.   Camryn is Looking For:   Romps in parks and world exploration by her new humans' side! This pretty girl is eager to burn off all that young-dog energy and make pup and people pals along the way. To get there, she needs extra patient and loving adopters who understand she hasn't seen enough of the world yet and needs a little more support to become comfortable in new environments. A friendly resident dog will show her how to dog too! Most of all, she wants to know where her home is, to know she's safe and loved for all her days. In exchange, she promises happy tail wags and loyal companionship and adoring gazes. What do you say? Does that sound like a fair trade to you? What My Foster Says About Me:   Camryn is a gentle, loving girl who’s blossoming more each day. She’s a sweet and sensitive pup who’s quickly learning that home life can be full of fun and comfort. She loves soft toys, playing tug, and curling up on the couch for snuggles. Camryn has also been great with other animals—she’s friendly with the resident cat and has started to enjoy playtime with her foster’s puppy. Inside, she’s doing wonderfully—no accidents and even sleeping quietly through the night in her crate. She’s food-motivated, which makes her a quick learner, and she’s already starting to explore the house with curiosity and confidence. Camryn is still gaining confidence in the great outdoors, but with time, patience, and continued positive experiences, she’ll thrive. She’s a wonderful mix of sweetness and bravery and will make a loving companion for someone ready to show her the world at her own pace. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
Meet Callie: Energetic Plott Hound Seeking an Active Home 🐾 Callie is a 3-year-old Plott Hound with the spirit and drive typical of her breed. She's spayed, fully vaccinated, receives regular vet care, and has no known health issues. Callie thrives with lots of exercise and purpose, making her a great fit for a hunting or very active home where she can spend plenty of time outdoors. Callie has a strong prey drive and may lunge at critters, bicyclists, motorcycles, or delivery trucks on walks. She also counter-surfs, guards food, and may occasionally snap when overstimulated. Because of this, she's not suited for homes with children and would do best with experienced adult owners familiar with high-drive working dogs. Callie is vocal, bold, and full of personality - a great match for someone who appreciates the determination and energy of a true scent hound. Story
Radley has had an unsettled start to his life. He was abandoned a dog daycare in Northeast DC, where I work. After trying out a new home, he came back to me as he had some pretty severe separation anxiety. He has now been living with me, my husband, our German Shepherd, and our twin boys for twelve months. He is without a doubt, the sweetest, most loving soul I’ve met. He loves other dogs, he loves people, and he is truly wonderful with children. He lets my 28 month old boys do just about anything to him with a smile on his face and wagging tail. He has no known health issues and is very energetic. He would thrive in a home with another dog, active parents, and somewhere that he won’t be left alone. He needs to be with parents that understand dogs, how they behave, and are willing to work hard with training.

Story
Meet Bonnie — the soft‑spoken sweetheart of her litter. Bonnie is a darling little brindle pup with gentle eyes and an even gentler spirit. While her siblings bounce around in full puppy chaos, Bonnie prefers to sit back, observe, and take the world in at her own pace. She’s the quiet one — the kind of puppy who melts into your arms, listens intently, and makes you feel like you’re her whole universe. She loves snuggling, exploring the yard at a slow trot, and curling up next to her people once she’s done adventuring. Bonnie may be on the calmer side now, but she still has all the puppy curiosity and sweetness you’d expect — just delivered with a softer touch. Bonnie is looking for a loving family who appreciates a thoughtful, tender‑hearted puppy and will help her grow with patience, kindness, and plenty of cuddles. If you’re hoping for a gentle companion with a heart of gold, Bonnie might be your perfect match. The adoption fee for this dog is $500. Application for adoption: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FRE/Dog If you are viewing on Petfinder/Adoptapet and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this dog please visit our website, www.frecklesfoundation.org. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Puppies require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training! They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

Story
Meet Snoops — the bold, curious adventurer of his litter. Snoops is a lively little pup with a sparkle in his eye and a whole lot of “let’s go!” in his heart. While his siblings are content to nap or snuggle, Snoops is the one leading the charge into new corners, new toys, and new experiences. He’s the puppy who wants to know everything — what’s behind the couch, what’s under that leaf, and why you’re laughing without him. He’s playful, clever, and always ready for a mini‑mission, whether that’s exploring the yard, investigating a crinkly bag, or proudly carrying around his newest “treasure.” But after a good adventure, Snoops is more than happy to curl up beside his people and recharge with some well‑earned affection. Snoops is looking for a family who loves a puppy with personality — someone who will appreciate his curiosity, guide his big puppy brain, and enjoy watching him discover the world with joy and confidence. If you’re hoping for a fun, spirited companion who will keep you smiling, Snoops is your guy. The adoption fee for this dog is $500.
