Please contact Paul Slebzak (pauls@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.young girl ready to play! CAMRYN NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Camryn and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (11/16) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church, VA (6100 - A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!   Name:  Camryn         Best Guess for Breed:  Plott hound and boxer mix   Best Guess for Age:  10 months as of November 2025        SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight:  40 lbs as of 11/2/25 - she likely has a bit more to grow!   Gets Along With:  Camryn has lived with dogs and cats in foster care! We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations: Camryn is shy and needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes.   Camryn is Looking For:   Romps in parks and world exploration by her new humans' side! This pretty girl is eager to burn off all that young-dog energy and make pup and people pals along the way. To get there, she needs extra patient and loving adopters who understand she hasn't seen enough of the world yet and needs a little more support to become comfortable in new environments. A friendly resident dog will show her how to dog too! Most of all, she wants to know where her home is, to know she's safe and loved for all her days. In exchange, she promises happy tail wags and loyal companionship and adoring gazes. What do you say? Does that sound like a fair trade to you? What My Foster Says About Me:   Camryn is a gentle, loving girl who’s blossoming more each day. She’s a sweet and sensitive pup who’s quickly learning that home life can be full of fun and comfort. She loves soft toys, playing tug, and curling up on the couch for snuggles. Camryn has also been great with other animals—she’s friendly with the resident cat and has started to enjoy playtime with her foster’s puppy. Inside, she’s doing wonderfully—no accidents and even sleeping quietly through the night in her crate. She’s food-motivated, which makes her a quick learner, and she’s already starting to explore the house with curiosity and confidence. Camryn is still gaining confidence in the great outdoors, but with time, patience, and continued positive experiences, she’ll thrive. She’s a wonderful mix of sweetness and bravery and will make a loving companion for someone ready to show her the world at her own pace. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
House trained: Yes Energy level: Low Noise level: Quiet My foster guardian says: My favorite thing about Roscoe is how he gently asks for pets! Likes: Taking walks and getting pets Hi there, Im Roscoe! Im a super sweet, laid back, gentle guy. Some of my favorite things to do are taking long walks, and napping in the sun. I also like to play with my toys, by myself or with my humans, and get all the snuggles. Im a bit of a shy guy, and I dont love loud noises, but other than that Im a happy pup. I like to meet new doggy friends, and love playing with other dogs. Im a little hesitant around human strangers, and the only time my foster mom has heard me bark is when someone I dont know comes to visit. After a few minutes though, Im happy to make friends, and Im gaining confidence as I get more settled in D.C. My foster mom describes me as very polite and well-behaved because Im crate trained, potty-trained, and dont try to get on the furniture. I know come and leave it, and Id be happy to learn even more tricks with my forever family. If youre looking for a gentle pup who will shower you with love and be a loyal walk buddy for life, Im your guy! Apply to adopt me today! Story
Meet BEANIE! Beanie is a gorgeous, 9 month old, 47 pound male brindle Plott Hound mix -- his tiger pattern and earnest gaze are hard to resist. This sweetie just had his freedom ride after spending two months at an overcapacity rural NC shelter. He is very sweet, lovable, and just wants to hang out/get attention from his humans! At about 9 months old, Beanie has puppy playfulness and is excited to meet people (of all ages) and dogs, but also nuzzles up to you for head rubs or belly rubs, and gently leans in for more. He loves playing with his toys and will cuddle with you during quiet times. Beanie is smart and already knows sit for a treat, but, as with any young dog, he will need to continue with some basic training so this young dog can become the well-behaved dog he can be. Beanie ended up at a rural North Carolina shelter, and we can only imagine how he wondered why his family did not come find him and take him home. After two months at the overcapacity shelter, he was in danger and the shelter rescue coordinator asked if we could bring this extremely sweet dog into PetConnect to save him. He is so happy that PetConnect has come to his rescue and brought him to the DC area to find a forever family that will give him the attention that he deserves and never abandon him to such a scary place as a kill-shelter ever again. Beanie would love to curl up with you to hang out on a cool fall night! He would be an excellent new member of the family! ***Please note that the first step is to fill out an application (It does not commit you in anyway but allows us to discuss with you if you and the dog are a good fit). In addition, an important step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies ) , spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Beanie is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. For more information, please email Robin at rturner@petconnectrescue.org or kinstondogs@verizon.net **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
A Bonded Pair Looking for a Home Together! Piper and Cooper have spent their whole lives side by side, loved dearly by their elderly owner. Sadly, their person had to move into assisted living where dogs aren’t allowed, and now these two best friends are searching for a new forever home — together. We would love to keep them as a pair so they don’t lose each other after already losing their owner. They truly are a team and bring comfort and joy to one another. The ideal home for Piper and Cooper would be one with a large fenced yard to explore, and people who enjoy daily walks and adventures with their pups. If you’re looking to add not just one, but two amazing companions to your family, Piper and Cooper would be so grateful for the chance to stay together. Message us today if you’d like to meet this sweet bonded duo! PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
*** COURTESY POST ONLY *** Watch her IG video to see what a smart girl Ginnie is!https://www.instagram.com/p/DOo2XkZEU-j/.From Toby's Rescue: This sweet girl, Ginnie, has been living her best life for the last couple of months with her amazing foster parents, Laura and JT. But when they set off for their honeymoon last month, we thought… what better time for Ginny to enjoy a little princess polishing at Premier training? Ginny is playful, happy, and full of love and like any energetic young lady, she wanted some manners training to match her royal charm. Thanks to the incredible team at Premier Training, Ginnie is now an expert at her royal manners and has perfected her sit, stay, place, leave it and walking daintily on a leash. Her trainer said she is such a good girl and wants more than anything to please her people. Ginnie came to us when we said yes to taking Ginnie when she had two options: leave the shelter with a rescue or with her last breath. We scooped her up and got her settled with Laura and JT and she has been bringing smiles and laughter to them ever since. Now she has finished her finishing school, she is ready for her forever home. She’s 11 months old, 42 lbs of pure charm, crate trained, toy-obsessed, and always ready for zoomies followed by snuggles.
