Story
Cooper is a stunningly gorgeous seven-year-old brindle Plott Hound weighing about 62 pounds—and he’s every bit as wonderful as he looks. This handsome guy is the definition of chill: an affectionate, laid-back couch potato who’s happiest lounging by your side or soaking up a sunny spot. He’s fully house trained, doesn’t need a crate, and is an absolute dream inside the home. Cooper is easygoing, calm, and content just being part of the household, making him a truly low-maintenance companion. While he loves his downtime, Cooper would also enjoy a large yard where he can wander, sniff, and stretch out in the sun before heading back inside for a well-earned nap. If you’re looking for a relaxed, loving dog who fits perfectly into a peaceful home, Cooper may be your guy. Cooper is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $250 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. For more information, please email Katherine at kberger@petconnectrescue.org. **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.

*** COURTESY POST ONLY *** Watch her IG video to see what a smart girl Ginnie is!https://www.instagram.com/p/DOo2XkZEU-j/.From Toby's Rescue: This sweet girl, Ginnie, has been living her best life for the last couple of months with her amazing foster parents, Laura and JT. But when they set off for their honeymoon last month, we thought… what better time for Ginny to enjoy a little princess polishing at Premier training? Ginny is playful, happy, and full of love and like any energetic young lady, she wanted some manners training to match her royal charm. Thanks to the incredible team at Premier Training, Ginnie is now an expert at her royal manners and has perfected her sit, stay, place, leave it and walking daintily on a leash. Her trainer said she is such a good girl and wants more than anything to please her people. Ginnie came to us when we said yes to taking Ginnie when she had two options: leave the shelter with a rescue or with her last breath. We scooped her up and got her settled with Laura and JT and she has been bringing smiles and laughter to them ever since. Now she has finished her finishing school, she is ready for her forever home. She’s 11 months old, 42 lbs of pure charm, crate trained, toy-obsessed, and always ready for zoomies followed by snuggles. I am new here, more to come soon... The adoption fee for this dog is $425. Application for adoption: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FRE/Dog If you are viewing on Petfinder/Adoptapet and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this dog please visit our website, www.frecklesfoundation.org. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Puppies require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training! They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.

Story
Simone an adorable, 1.5-year old white and merle catahoula hound/bully mix with the gorgeous blue eyes; she is shy but so so sweet....she arrived at the shelter with a head tilt of unknown origin and partially deaf. It doesn't stop her once she has warmed up from running/playing and exploring. She will do best in a home with another dog. While she’s spunky and brave when playing with other dogs, she also has a calm, thoughtful side that makes her easy to fall in love with. 💕 An adopter with experience with a shy dog and patience with communicating with a deaf dog but it will be so rewarding to allow this sweet smart girl to thrive. She's waiting for someone like YOU to adopt her and show her the world! This terrific pup came from an overcapacity rural shelter in North Carolina that was making tough decisions, especially for a special needs dog. It took a village to make sure that Simone and some long-timers (such as Bingo) were safe. We were able to bring Simone to the DC area so she will have the second chance that she deserves. She is crate trained. Whether she’s curled up in your lap or off on a mini mission of discovery, Simone is the perfect mix of sweet, tender and submissive. Simone is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care.
