Story
Hello my name is Clairee and I'm named after the Steele Magnolia movie. I'm very playful and love to get my energy out by running around with my siblings! I'd be very grateful if you made me your new family member and I'd even give you kisses in return for some belly rubs! I love to play with all of my toys, but my favorites are my Nylabone and Frisbee. I am already spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested and current on flea/tick prevention too! My dream would be to have a yard that i could run around in when i got the zoomies. My brother and I love to do that as much as we can , so I'd like to continue in my new home.I've been looking for my forever family but no one to call my own yet, could you be the one?

Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.   Additionally for CATS you  may email  JShelton@eulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       Meet Chase.  This six year old pointer/cattle dog mix loves kids, people, and has done well with some easy going dogs. His owner passed away before Christmas and the family dumped poor Chase in the shelter.    Chase is around 50 pounds and neutered.  He is potty trained, walks well on a leash and will go into a kennel, but prefers to be with his people.  If you would like to meet this very special boy, please email steffeniegaprescue@gmail.comApril 12, 2024, 7:04 pm

Story
Copper is a fantastic buddy that loves his people. He loves watching for squirrels and protecting the yard! Copper adores his “stuffies” and loves to do zoomies with them. Copper would also prefer a home without children. He enjoys a brisk walk, know how to sit and shake and loves to howl when he hears any siren! Copper has a good amount of energy, but also loves to relax with his humans. Soft plush blankets are his favorite, and he can barely wait for you to lay them out before he tries and snuggles in. Copper can be choosy about other dogs, but has lived with a large and small dog with success! If you are looking for a devoted companion, Copper is the guy for you. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Copper is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.April 5, 2024, 10:47 am

Story
Hank is a super sweet and goofy boy. He was found as a stray in the country, just trying to survive on his own. People were very mean to him when he would come around looking for food.  Because of this, he is very shy/nervous in new places and around new people, but non aggressive.   Once you win him over, he will give you his entire heart.  He is extremely loving and affectionate, quite the big baby. Hank is loyal, and goofy.  He loves to play and loves adventure. His smile as is big as Texas and his little under bite is one of the cutest things you'll see! He would do best in a low traffic home. He has been fostered with a small (very dog experienced) child and is great, but he is a bit hyper and clumsy at times and can accidentally knock a small child down, (he's 80lbs), so he would do best with older children.  He would thrive in a home with another dog to play with in a big back yard, but does require slow introductions as he is wary of new dogs at first.  He is rambunctious with his dog friends and needs a friend that tolerate his ruff house play!  He has been with other dogs ranging from 15-65lbs.  Hank does well with non confrontational cats! Hank has a (back) foot deformity.  We do not know if it was a birth defect or if something happened to him, but he only has one toe on his back foot, which contributes some to his clumsiness.  He has been on glucosamine and joint supplements his entire time in rescue and it is recommended he stays on them his entire life to prevent early arthritis because of his foot.  It is not expensive and can be bought over the counter.
