Pepper is new to foster but she is settling in very quickly. She walks nicely on a leash and will sleep quietly in her kennel at night with the door open, or on her dog bed. She is house-trained and lived with another dog and a cat, however she would not be a good fit if your existing dog is looking for a wrestle buddy. She would be a better match for a mature dog that doesn't want to be pestered because she really doesn't want an energetic pup (or person for that matter) jumping on her. She would also be a great only dog. She already knows her manners and will sit, stay, leave it and wait to be invited before jumping up on the couch. She can be left home alone without kenneling and will wait for you by the door. Pepper is a chonky lovebug that needs to lose a few pounds so it is a good thing that she likes to go for walks. So far she just really wants to be cuddled, roll in the grass and get belly rubs. Kids make her anxious so she needs to go to an adult only home. Adoption fee: $375 All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. Applications and Adoption Rules can be found on our website, on the "HOW TO ADOPT" tab at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will process the application including: contact with your veterinarian and completion of a home visit. Please be sure to include the contact information for your vet as we will call. If your vet requires an information release, please be sure to contact them as soon as you submit your application. Besides the fact that this darling little girl is adorable, she's also a lot of fun to have around! She's energetic! She's playful! She's affectionate! She is house trained, and she is kennel trained. She walks very nicely on leash. She's wonderful with children. She would make an excellent hiking partner Would be perfect for a family who spends time outdoors! She's in a foster home in Memphis Tennessee. Once an application has been submitted and approved, the foster family would be happy to speak with you and tell you all about her! Once adopted, she will travel on rescue vet transport to the north east. They travel each weekend, leaving Memphis, Tennessee, Friday morning at 6 AM and traveling to the northeast delivering newly adopted pets. They travel as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Sammy is a sweet, 8 year old Pointer Mix, possibly a bit of a Lab Mix, estimated to be 45 lbs. Prior to joining BAARK, Sammy was bounced around until he reached his foster home. It takes a bit of time for Sammy to warm up to people he does not know, but once he gets to know you, he is your best friend! He enjoys being petted, and snuggling next to his person. He loves to chew bones and play with (tear apart!!) soft toys. He is not too fond of sharing his toys, however, and prefers to hide them when not playing. Sammy is afraid of loud noises and can be startled by quick movements, as well. He gets long with most dogs, but would definitely do best with a female dog friend. He’d enjoy being an only dog too. A family with older children or an all-adult home would be great, but smaller children might scare Sammy. He is housebroken, and can be left free-roaming when home alone. Sammy is fully vetted, up-to-date on all vaccinations, has had recent bloodwork, is heartworm negative and is on year-round heartworm prevention. He is also neutered and microchipped.
