Story
Ozzie is the best little guy. He is about 4 years old and 12 lbs of love, affection, and sweetness, once he knows you. Takes him a moment to warm up to some new folks (mostly men), but is super affectionate and truly the cutest thing ever. He barks a lot at strangers. Ozzie is great with other dogs and with cats, and would do best with another dog for him to play with. We prefer not to put smaller dogs with smaller kids. Would do great with an experienced home and a fenced yard. A must meet, for this is a wonderful little long haired PomChi, in need of a wonderful forever home, who wants a small dog that will sleep under the covers with you.  LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER (Pregnant Dog Rescue) is a private, in home, all breed rescue facility. We exist only on the kindness of your donations and adoptions! We pride ourselves on being an HOLISTIC center and feed only holistic foods and various vitamins and supplements to all of our dogs. LOVABLE MUTTS ADOPTION CENTER dogs are well socialized, very friendly, and in wonderful health.  We stand by our pups/dogs, and give 10 days for a refund and almost always take our dogs back at any age of their lives (often depends on dog)! LMAC has an application screening process.  All applicants are asked to provide vet references, personal references, and a home visit.  We pride ourselves in matching up the right dog with the right home. Sometimes this happens quickly and sometimes it might take awhile. We hope you understand and are willing to wait for the perfect pup for your situation. We reserve the right to turn applicants down and to change our mind about a suitable match, for we are only concerned about what is best for our dogs.  Also note that we arrange our visiting hours around your schedule, as this is a private, in home facility.  We respond to all inquiries promptly, so if you have any trouble sending us an email, or have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please, CONTACT US AGAIN and check your spam!  (We all know how emails can be at times!) Our dogs are spayed or neutered (if old enough), up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested, and free of fleas and ticks.  We temperament test our  dogs and they are all suitable for many family situations. Our dogs are well mannered, know some basic commands, and are usually housebroken within a week of being with us (if old enough).  They are in our family/home situation at this time (not in kennels or crates, although most are crate trained) and are worked with daily.  All of our dogs do well with other dogs and many do well with cats. Adoption donations vary with age, breed, vetting, and training of the dog, and range from $250 to $695 (most being $595).  (We do not tend to place puppies or small dogs with kids under 6 and reserve the right to match who WE feel would be the best homes for our dogs.)   November 21, 2025, 1:04 pm

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs to their new home leaving January 15th 2026 to the east coast from where we are located here in Southern California. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Snowball to our trip for the right home! As always for our adopters peace of mind we never ask for anything up front! Her adoption fee, along with her adopting families share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person with Snowball ultimately finalizing her adoption. Snowball, a purebred Pomeranian, is a tiny burst of happiness wrapped in fluff, joy, and pure sweetness. At 2.5 years old and approximately 5–6 lbs, she is petite in size but overflowing with personality, charm, and an infectious zest for life. Snowball has a playful, animated spirit and a way of lighting up every space she enters without even trying. Like Roxy, Snowball lost her owner when she passed away, leaving her world suddenly changed. With no family left behind, a thoughtful neighbor reached out to us to make sure these girls would be protected and loved, and Snowball has embraced this new chapter with remarkable resilience and trust. She carries no sadness - only hope, curiosity, and a readiness to love again. Snowball is house trained and pad trained, doing exceptionally well with a structured routine and happily going out every 3–4 hours. She is crate trained and sleeps perfectly through the night, but she is wonderfully adaptable and will adjust easily to whatever sleeping arrangement her new family prefers. She is fantastic on road trips and remains calm and content during travel, making her an easy and delightful companion for outings big or small. She is an absolute dream at the groomer and truly shines during her spa days, enjoying every bit of attention and care. Snowball is not a barker, but she is expressive and loves to “chat” when she wants affection, snacks, or simply to engage with her people. She thrives on interaction and absolutely loves being talked to - those conversations are clearly one of her favorite parts of the day. Snowball is incredibly smart, endlessly entertaining, and full of life. She dances, wiggles, and celebrates everything with her whole heart. Her joy is contagious, her sweetness undeniable, and her presence has a way of imprinting itself on your heart before you even realize it’s happened. She is scheduled to be spayed on 1/6/26, at which time she will also receive a dental cleaning, all vaccines, a microchip, and a comprehensive veterinary exam. She will be fully vetted and cleared by our veterinarian prior to adoption. Snowball would do beautifully as the center of attention in her own home or as a companion to another friendly pet. While she arrived with another Pom she gets along well with, she is not bonded and will thrive independently, forming deep connections with her new family. Snowball is pure love in motion - happy, affectionate, and endlessly giving. She will bring laughter, warmth, and an incredible sense of joy to the life she joins. Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/snowball It reflects her veterinary care, grooming, training, and the dedication involved in ensuring she is healthy, happy, and ready for her forever home.

Story
Introducing our newest sweet senior, Cali! This 10 year old Pomsky has been a frequent flyer at a local shelter, kept outside and running loose on a regular basis. This last time her owners didn’t come back for her so she finally has the chance for a better life and responsible loving home. She’s a sweetheart, blind but navigates well, loves being brushed and belly rubs, and is fine with other smallish gentle dogs (she’s about 17lbs full grown and looks like an oversized Pomeranian). She’s been spayed, had a dental, and had a small benign mammary mass removed and has recovered nicely, and is ready for a home that appreciates her loyalty and lovely disposition. Email njwoof@cs.com if you are interested in meeting Cali Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Submit an application from our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com to speed up the adoption process and email any questions to us at njwoof@cs.com. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.

Story
Ronnie is a 2-year-old, black and white Pomeranian that is absolutely gorgeous and he knows it. He has a tendency to be a little hyper around other dogs, as he LOVES to play with them, and we were told he would not leave the cats alone at the home where he used to live which was why he was given away. He was living outside in a pen 24/7 when his rescuer asked if she could have him. She promptly brought him to us to find a superb home for him. Ronnie settles once he gets your undivided attention when outside or when he is inside, in an x-pen so he doesn’t bowl over the elderly dogs that live at his foster home. When he is outside he has the company of both a 40 pound and a 55 pound dog to play with. He is scheduled to be groomed on 12/29 and will be scheduled for a neuter after that. Ronnie weighed 14.4 pounds on 12/18/25. He is up to date on vaccinations including Bordetella and is heartworm negative. He walks on a leash with only a little pulling and does well riding in a car when crated. Ronnie is being fostered in Arkansas. Ronnie’s adoption donation is $865 which includes the $165 transport cost. If you would like to adopt this beautiful boy, please fill out an adoption application. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
