Meet Lennox! This little foxy-looking guy is still just a baby, just turned a year old. He was terrified and lashing out to defend himself in his cage at the pound and at the vet but is warming up nicely and a sweet boy once he feels safe. He’s been getting along with other dogs in foster, still working on housebreaking but does go when taken out, and after a rough first couple days adjustment has been an easy and go with the flow kind of guy. We aren’t sure of his mix- we see some Pom, corgi, doxie, Fennec Fox 🦊… about 16lbs full grown with short stumpy legs and the most luxurious long flowing tail. Sweet, Gentle, & Emotional My name is Harrison, and I’m a 7-month-old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix hoping to find the forever family who can give me the life my heart is ready for. I’m a petite 14 pounds now and will probably end up around 16 pounds as an adult—just the right size to hold close. I was adopted as a tiny puppy by an elderly woman and her adult daughter who loved me with their whole hearts. But life has changed in ways none of us expected, and they can no longer keep up with my needs. They’ve cared for me the best they could, but walks, training, and outdoor potty routines became too difficult. I’ve been using pee pads inside simply because they had no other option. They made the brave, loving decision to ask Critter Cavalry Rescue for help, and now I’m hoping for a home with people who are active, gentle, and ready to help me learn. I’m still young and eager—ready for walks, playtime, backyard exploring, and adventures. I ride well in the car and would love to be the little co-pilot who tags along wherever you go. I’m a good boy with tons of potential—I just need someone who has the time and energy to guide me, love me, and help me grow into the best version of myself. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. I purchased Simba in 2014, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He is 11 years old, very sweet, playful, and also likes to keep to himself sometimes. Gets along with cats, dogs, and children. I used to live with him at my mom’s house where we had a big backyard for him to go out and play. However, I recently had to move out and now live in an apartment and he is not adjusting very well. Due to my busy schedule, I am only able to take Simba out a couple times a day. And I think given his old age he needs access to using the bathroom more often than I am able to provide. He is also alone for long hours while I’m working. I feel he deserves to be in a home that not only has a yard, but a family who is home more often and able to give him the attention he needs. He is not neutered (new owners choice in doing so) and recently developed a skin allergy this past spring. He is on apoquel, which is an allergy suppressant. Other than that, he is in great shape for his age.

However, seems to do well even when people are not around. • House Training: Currently stays indoors at the center and uses pee pads well. • Grooming: Generally tolerates being handled and groomed quite well. • Car Rides: Relaxes comfortably and rests well during car rides. • Biting: Doesn’t bite at all — is a gentle and calm boy. • Barking: Barks occasionally, which is soft and not bothersome. • Likes: Is a people-loving, friendly dog who greets everyone warmly! • Dislikes: Sometimes gets jealous when others receive attention, due to his affection to people. If someone he likes pets a smaller dog, he might give that dog a little jealous scolding.
