Story
Hi, I'm Carmelito, a big-hearted guy with an even bigger smile! When I first arrived, I was pretty nervous and unsure of everything, but once I learned I was safe, my sweet personality started to shine. These days, I'm incredibly loving and affectionate with my family. In fact, I firmly believe I'm a lap dog—even if my size says otherwise! I love snuggling on the couch, and at bedtime you'll usually find me curled up right next to my favorite people. I'm an active boy who loves getting outside to burn off some energy. Running around with my dog friends, playing chase, going for walks, and chewing on stuffed or durable chew toys are some of my favorite things. I'm also known for being a little clumsy, and I have a habit of tumbling around on the couch that always makes people laugh. I'm house-trained, rarely have accidents, and I walk nicely on a harness, making me a great companion for daily adventures. Because I'm still building my confidence, I'll need patient, slow introductions to new people—especially men. I do well with other dogs and respect their boundaries, but I'm still working on some resource guarding around toys, treats, and food, so I'll need continued training and management in those situations. My happiest moments are spent with my people, enjoying a good chew toy and feeling safe. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion and are willing to help me continue learning and growing, I know I'll reward you with endless love, cuddles, and my adorable, goofy grin. ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Do you want to meet me? I will be at The Block 7007 Walker St, St Louis Park, MN 55426 for an Adoption Event on Wednesday, August 26th 4:00-7:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Hello, my name is Alma! I am a beautiful and affectionate adult female Pomsky who is a total sweetheart if I do say so myself!! I love going on leashed walks, eating treats, snuggling and giving kisses!  Fence in yard is not needed for me, but if you have it, I will keep the yard clear of all small critters who may try to come in the yard!  I do, however, need to be leashed when outside, should you not have a fence. I am a calm lady as long as I can see my family, but if they go out of my sight, I get anxious.  If they put me in that cave thing you people call a kennel/crate I will yell at them constantly until they let me out. I mean seriously, do they NOT understand that I too, am part of the family and I should be with them NOT confined in that cave!! I would love to find a family where someone is home most of the time, or someone who can help with my separation anxiety.  Shared walls are not a match for me as I have the "voice of a husky."  As I said, I don't like that kennel thing, but I still make some noise when left alone, even outside the kennel.  I don't do anything naught, except howl for you, but I wait for your return! Anyway, I know the “sit” command; I am potty trained, and I am good with larger dogs. However, I get nippy with smaller dogs and I have a high prey drive, so will chase those meowy things. I need a home with pups my size, or larger, if others are there.  Additionally, I don’t like a lot of commotion, so small kids aren't a match for me. All I dream about now is finding my furever home with a patient person who will shower me with unconditional love, keep me safe and will NOT give up on me. If you are looking for a BFF who will love you more than I love myself then I would love to meet you. I promise not only am I totally worth it, but I will give you the best kisses EVER!!! Love and kisses, Alma Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Oriole is a darling Pomeranian with a soft, beautiful coat and an even softer heart. He is incredibly devoted to his people and loves being close — whether he’s curled up right next to you, tucked into your side, or happily soaking up pets and belly rubs. He also enjoys being picked up and cuddled, making him the perfect little companion for someone who loves a snuggly dog. He does wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys both gentle play and meeting new canine friends. Oriole thrives in a home where he can be part of the pack, though he will chase cats and would do best in a cat-free home. He can be sensitive to loud noises, quick movements, and overwhelming environments, so a quieter home will help him feel safe and secure. Oriole loves spending time outside and really enjoys having a fenced yard where he can run, explore, and show off his adorable morning zoomies. He also enjoys going on walks and is leash trained, though he should always be kept secure since he can slip out of a collar or harness if given the opportunity.  He is crate trained and continues to do well with structure and routine. Oriole is very food motivated, which makes him fun to work with! He does not play with toys just yet, but he’s curious and continues to grow more comfortable exploring the world around him. Thunderstorms and loud commotion can be scary for him, so he’ll do best with a patient, understanding adopter who can provide reassurance and a calm environment. Oriole is truly one of the sweetest little dogs you’ll meet — affectionate, gentle, and happiest right by your side. He’s ready to find a loving home where he can feel safe, adored, and part of the family. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.
