Story
Duke is a 1 year old fluffy Austrailian Shepherd mix (we're thinking Husky), weighing about 40 lbs. He has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on shots. He's got a lovely fluffy tail and came to rescue from South Dakota, being part of a larger rescue effort where he primarily lived outside. Being that it was presumed that he was part Aussie, we agreed to bring him in and help him find a new home. Duke is a very loveable, cuddly pup. However, he does need time to get to know you and warm up - once you've won him over, he's all about the snuggles and play. He absolutely loves playing outside, so would very much enjoy a home where he'd have many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and be with his family. Duke has made great progress since coming to rescue; learning how to 'sit' and 'stay'. He is crate trained and is making quick progress in house training, becoming more and more reliable in his cues to let you know when he needs to go. Duke, being new to living in a home, is still learning how to politely greet people when he meets them. He likes to jump up to say hi and is working hard to remember to keep all four paws on the ground. His new family should consider obedience classes to help Duke continue his learning journey. Good with cats: Unknown Good with dogs: Yes Good with kids: Yes All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. All dogs have an adoption fee of $400 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family.
