Story
This is a story that will tug at your heart. Hi. It’s me. Ava. Yes, I have the little squishy pug face. Yes, I am a middle aged lady. Yes, I am soft in every possible way. They found me wandering around Calumet City. Just out there. Alone. I am a tiny girl and the world is big. Bigger when you cannot see it very well. We think I am blind. Or close to it. What I know for sure is that I navigate with my heart. The shelter was not the place for a girl like me. Too loud. Too fast. Too much. The rescue stepped in because no one wanted me trying to survive like that. I am not a high-maintenance diva. I am a calm, docile, snuggly little lady. I move slowly. I listen carefully. I memorize the shape of a room. Once I learn it, I am good. I will toddle around like I own the place. What I really want is a person. Someone patient. Someone steady. Someone kind. Someone who does not mind being my eyes. I will follow your voice. I will lean into your legs. I will curl into you like I have known you forever. I am the kind of dog who bonds deep. Not flashy. Not chaotic. Just loyal. Devoted. Yours. If your home is quiet and your heart is open, I think we might fit together perfectly. I am probably fine with dogs, cats and kids, but since I want a quiet home, I am going to try to be your solo love bug for now. Is that okay? Come be my world. I promise I will make you mine. Update - 03/19/2026:She is an attention seeker. She hears a voice and she jumps up to find you. LOVES FOOD. she does not like it if you take too long to get her bowl ready. She has started doing a low grumbling bark when she thinks your taking too long. Loves to cuddle and be close to her people. Can this girl get any cuter? We can't imagine what she went through when she faced uncertainty and is blind. Our hearts broke. We had to keep her safe and give her a chance at finding a loving home. Will you foster or adopt her? Please apply. She needs your love and care. ##2666687##

Story
Mimi is an adorable Puggle with a charming personality and an independent spirit all her own. She's currently working on potty training and is crate trained, but she's the type of girl who likes to do things on Mimi time. While she may not always be the most attentive pup, Mimi enjoys being near her people and can often be found lounging on the back of the couch, quietly keeping an eye on the household. She's still adjusting to her new surroundings and learning what life as a beloved family pet is all about. One thing Mimi is very enthusiastic about? Food! She's highly motivated by people-food and has been known to climb onto chairs and even tables in search of a tasty snack. Her future family will need to help her learn appropriate boundaries and keep tempting treats out of reach. Mimi also has an adventurous side. She's frequently found checking out the front door or garage door, seemingly dreaming about her next expedition. Because of this, her family will need to be extra mindful when coming and going—if she spots an opportunity, she may try to sneak out and explore. Mimi is looking for a patient family that appreciates her independent nature while helping her continue to build good habits and settle into a routine. In return, she'll provide plenty of entertainment, companionship, and her own unique brand of affection. If you're looking for a quirky, clever Puggle with a big personality and an adventurous spirit, Mimi may be the perfect fit for your home!   Due to our participation in the Vernon Hills 4th of July Parade, there will be no adoption event on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Instead, come visit us the following weekend at Libertyville Dog Days of Summer on July 11 & 12! Stop by to have some fun, meet our amazing adoptable pets, and say hello to the Reach Rescue team. Story
I am Kano the Puggy Wow Wow! I know, I know that is not how you spell Chihuahua, but I think that I am a Wow Wow Pug! Or rather a “Chug” is the official name of my breed. I am only a little over 4 months old, and 10 pounds so based on those calculations, I should be under 25# when fully grown. Unless you feed me too much, that would be ok with me as I LOVE to eat!! I like to think of myself as a gourmet! I used to have some issues with my breathing and snorting but I recently had a “nose Job” and now my breathing is so great, and my energy is so much that I can now do zoomies around the yard! They also did some snip-snip in the nether regions so I can’t be a daddy puppy anymore but that is ok. If I can breathe better, it is a great trade off! I love kids, dogs, cats, people in general, and am learning to walk on a leash and be a proper little Chug. I am very smart and learn quickly. I taught myself the doggie door within a day of arriving at my foster home and am almost completely housetrained because I let myself in and out when I need to go. If you are looking for a sweet, energetic companion to go with you on walks or snuggle on the sofa at home, here I am! Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hey there — I'm Tucker GC, a tiny brown and tan Pug-Chihuahua mix with a whole lot of personality packed into my 2.2-pound frame! 🐶 At just 7 weeks old, I'm still learning about the world, and I'm ready to soak up all the love and playtime you can give me. I'm affectionate and friendly, with a playful spirit that'll keep you entertained — though I'm happy to snooze beside you when the adventure winds down. I was a bottle fed, c-section baby so I love my people family, and love to be held. My surgery is scheduled for July 13th and I will be available to go home with you after that. Come meet this little bundle of joy and watch me grow into your perfect companion! 💕 Texas adoption fee is $350. Out of State adoption fee with transport $650.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Pugs Bunny! Pugs Bunny is a sweet, gentle boy who is ready to hop right into your heart! This handsome pup was found as a stray, and while we don't know much about his past, he's already shown us what a wonderful companion he can be. Pugs Bunny has a calm, quiet nature and a submissive personality. He enjoys playing with other dogs and would love a canine friend to romp around with, but he's just as happy relaxing by your side. He's looking for a patient family who will help him learn the ropes of living in a home, including potty training. Because his history is unknown, we aren't sure how he does with children or cats, so slow, supervised introductions would be recommended. Pugs Bunny is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, 4DX negative, and current on ProHeart 12 and Bravecto, so he's ready to head home with his new family. Adoption fee: $400 If you think Pugs Bunny could be the perfect addition to your family, apply today at www.adoggie4you.org. Brooks is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Due to state regulations, we cannot transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 1, 2026, 4:28 pm
