Story
Meet Daisy! Daisy is a 17 pound, 8 year old pug who is super lovable and looking for her furever home! Her fosters are working with her on pad training and she is learning very quickly. She warms up to new people fast and is dog friendly. Her energy level is medium and she enjoys cuddling and a good nap but has the occasional zoomies. A total sweet heart who enjoys attention and is looking for a home where she can get all the love and affection she deserves! She is also an explorer and likes to see what’s around and will be your shadow and follow you around your home. Daisy is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY and her adoption fee is $600. Daisy is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Mabeline! This little Pug is a 6-year-old female who currently weighs 16.5 pounds. Mabeline is a true cuddle bug who loves being close to her people and gets along with every dog she meets. She is not very vocal, but you can always locate her when she’s asleep thanks to the impressive volume of her snores. While she cannot be bothered with furry fashion trends, she is slowly getting used to wearing her harness. She enjoys spending time outdoors, but leash walking is still a work in progress, so she would do best in a home with access to a fenced-in yard. Housebreaking is also ongoing. She does give clear signals when she needs to go out, either by scratching at a vertical surface or lifting her leg. When Mabeline first arrived, she showed little interest in food or treats, but now she waits excitedly anytime the refrigerator opens. She is an absolute doll and would make a wonderful addition to a home that can provide plenty of cuddles and, of course, snacks. Mabeline is currently being fostered in Wayne, NJ. Her adoption fee is $600. Mabel is a Patron Pup.
