Story
Kendra is one of five puppies born to Josie.  She and her siblings have been in foster care since birth and are highly social. Kendra and her brother Kyle have a more wirey hair look to them that they get from Mom it appears, while the other 3 look more pug mix.  Mom is only about 10 pounds.  She's been around other dogs and got along great (no cat experience).  Kendra up to date on core vaccines (Rabies, DAPP, Bordatella).  Kendra has been spayed and is about 8 months old as of the end of December.  She's been at numerous events and did well with adults and children. Kendra is an active little girl, and loves having a fenced yard, so a fenced yard is a requirement for her.  She can be a digger and should never be left alone outside.   Interested in adopting me?  To fill out an application visit 3 Hearts 4 Paws.  Please note: we do not adopt out of state.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 2, 2026, 9:23 am

Story
Meet Aretha! I’m a very sweet 6-year-old Puggle/Chihuahua gal with a beautiful face that puts a smile on your face , and I have soft black-and-tan coat. At just 18 pounds, I’m the perfect size—small enough to snuggle but cute enough to strut with style! I’m thriving in a loving foster home and enjoy spending time with my foster siblings, but I’d be just as happy as your one-and-only, soaking up all your attention. I walk nicely on a leash and love going out in the city to say hello to everyone I meet. I’ve been fully vetted, spayed, and am up to date on all my vaccinations. All I need now is a forever home where I can keep blossoming and share all the love I have to give. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle companion who’s ready to love and be loved, I might just be your girl. Apply to adopt me here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/POSH/Dog

Story
Meet our super sweet and gentle 5-year-old pug girl. She’s shy and still learning the world, but gaining confidence and trust in humans every day. She’s a bit weary of the busy NYC streets and not yet fully leash-trained, so for now she feels safest inside. House training is a work in progress—she has occasional accidents and hasn’t mastered potty pads—but she’s tidy and never destructive! She is friendly with other dogs, and would likely do well in a home with another dog who can teach her the go around. She relaxes best in her crate (dim lights + soft music = bliss), and once she feels safe there, she’ll happily accept gentle pets. She eats and drinks well, sleeps through the night, and her curiosity about toys shows a playful spark. She needs a calm, patient home that celebrates small wins. If you love helping dogs blossom, she’ll be your little soulmate and she loves some cheese! 3 Keywords for your pup: Sweet, shy, curious!Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 6Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: Occasional barkerWalking Manners: She needs patience learning how to walk on a leash. Appetite: Great!Favorite Things: Sleeping in a comfy crate  ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. Story
Pugsley is a very sweet and special boy! Pugsley is a calm, chill boy who loves lounging next to his person-on the couch, bed, or even lying next to your feet on the floor. He just wants to be close to you! He loves playing with his doggy foster brother, and walks beautifully on the leash when we go out on walks together. Pugsley loves walks where he can get in lots of sniffs and say hi to other humans that are out and about. Pugsley ignores most dogs we see out on walks and is incredibly neutral when meeting new four-legged friends. Pugsley does great when left alone with a bone to keep him busy and some music on for him to enjoy. He isn’t destructive and will greet you with excited zoomies and jumps once you get home. Pugsley is fully potty trained, but needs some patience as he readjusts to life following his medical problems! He is also pee-pad trained. He is currently recovering well in foster care after a scary bout of seizures. Pugsley is a great sport when it comes to taking his medicine with zero fuss or issues, and shows off his spunky, loving personality more and more with each passing day. Pugsley is truly such a special, loving boy who will make the perfect companion for any family! ##2623097##

Story
Zhu Zhu’s life changed suddenly through no fault of her own. She was surrendered to the shelter when her family faced housing instability, and the loud, frightening environment was overwhelming for her gentle spirit. The stress took a toll and she became sick with CIRDC. Thankfully, Zhu Zhu was given a second chance and is now recovering in a loving foster home, where her true personality has begun to shine. Zhu Zhu has revealed herself to be a sweet, mellow cuddlebug who adores affection from everyone she meets. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and spends her days doing what she does best: seeking out the softest blankets and coziest cushions for long, peaceful naps. Zhu Zhu is ready for a calm, loving home where she can feel safe, cherished, and never worry about losing her place again. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will fill your home with quiet love and cozy moments, Zhu Zhu may be the perfect match. Zhu Zhu is fostered in Brooklyn, NY, and is available for local or out-of-state adoption as long as the adopter can travel to meet her.To get the adoption process started, please send us an application at https://bit.ly/rosr-adopt-foster.
