Story
Kendra is one of five puppies born to Josie.  She and her siblings have been in foster care since birth and are highly social. Kendra and her brother Kyle have a more wirey hair look to them that they get from Mom it appears, while the other 3 look more pug mix.  Mom is only about 10 pounds.  We have no information on Dad and don't know what influence Dad will have on size but we would anticipate the pups staying on the smaller side. They've all been around other dogs and got along great (no cat experience).  All of the puppies weigh between 10 and 12 pounds. They've had 2 in the series of 3 distemper/parvo combo vaccines and are too young right now for rabies.  Spay/neuters will be arranged under the rescue when age appropriate.  All puppies and dogs from our organization are microchipped.    Interested in adopting me?  To fill out an application visit 3 Hearts 4 Paws.  Please note: we do not adopt out of state.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 13, 2025, 11:01 pm

Our Puppy Adoption Policy & Senior Adopters We absolutely adopt to seniors and value them deeply in our rescue community. In fact, we encourage adopters age 70 and older to consider adult dogs (5+ years) — they often form the most beautiful, well-matched partnerships and truly thrive together. Why not puppies? Puppies require many years of intensive care, including:Daily training and socializationSignificant physical activityOngoing veterinary careLong-term contingency planning for the next 15+ years Because of these lifetime needs, we place puppies only in homes where long-term stability and planning can be confidently met. For this reason, we do not place puppies with adopters over the age of 70.This policy exists solely to protect the lifelong welfare and stability of the dog — never to diminish the value or capability of senior adopters. Story
Billy Jim Bob is a big, handsome guy who has been through a lot in his young life, and he’s looking for a very special home. At around 2 years old and 75 pounds, he’s strong, sensitive, and still figuring out how to trust the world again after coming to us with a serious injury. This boy is smart, food-motivated, and enjoys his chews and treats. Once he feels safe, he’ll lean into pets and even melt into a sit for some good butt scratches. He takes time to warm up to new people, but with patience and consistency, he shows his sweet and goofy side.Billy Jim Bob is not a dog for a first-time owner—he needs an experienced adopter who understands big dogs with big feelings. He can get over-aroused in the kennel and on leash, so continued training and structure will be important to set him up for success. He’ll do best as the only pet in the home, in a calm, adult-only environment where he can decompress and learn at his own pace.He may not be the easiest match, but for the right person, Billy Jim Bob will be a loyal and loving companion who just needs someone to believe in him.Adopter Recommendations:Experienced dog ownerAdult-only home (no children)Only pet in the homeWillingness to continue training and behavior supportCould you be the patient, dedicated human Billy Jim Bob has been waiting for?To complete adoption questionnaire: https://hamiltonmcnj.seamlessdocs.com/f/AdoptionApplicationTo see other available animals: https://www.hamiltonnj.com/173/Pets-Available-for-AdoptionHamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet. Story
Tate is a handsome American Bully/Pit Bull mix who’s ready to find a home with someone who understands his needs and will help him shine. At his core, Tate is a fun, toy-loving guy—especially when it comes to his squeaky toys!Because Tate isn’t dog-friendly, he’ll need to be the only pet in the home. He can get distracted and reactive when he sees other dogs, so his perfect adopter will be someone experienced with dogs—bonus points if you’re familiar with bulldog-type breeds. With the right structure and guidance, Tate has so much potential to thrive.Tate would do best in a calm, adult-only home or one with older, teen children who understand how to respect his space. With love, consistency, and patience, this big-hearted boy will reward his new family with loyalty, fun, and plenty of tail wags.If you’re an experienced dog owner looking for a devoted companion, Tate might just be the one for you!To complete adoption questionnaire: https://hamiltonmcnj.seamlessdocs.com/f/AdoptionApplicationTo see other available animals: https://www.hamiltonnj.com/173/Pets-Available-for-AdoptionHamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet.
