Story
Adoptable Roscoe 🐾 If you’re looking for a dog who is essentially a tiny, vibrating ball of pure happiness, look no further. This handsome guy was found as a stray, but he doesn’t seem to care one bit! The Stats: Age: Our best guess is around 1 year old. Breed: Your guess is as good as ours, but we’re seeing some Pug/Chihuahua vibes. Size: he’s around 15–20 lbs but on the lean side. Signature Look: A very charming, very prominent underbite. He might not be “traditional” pageant material, but he is a 10/10 in the personality department. The Personality: This boy is pure “joy.” He is super funny, always on the move, and looking for a more active household. If you’re a couch potato, he might be a bit much for you- he wants to be where the action is! He is a total social butterfly and hasn’t met a stranger yet. He loves other dogs big and small! In fact, he is currently obsessed with his 90 lb German Shepherd foster brother. He clearly has no idea how small he is. He had no idea what toys are and he doesn’t really seem to know how to engage in proper play with other dogs (he is a humper) but he is learning! All the dogs in his foster home are super playful, patient and tolerant of awkward doggies and are helping him learn- so any new resident dogs should also be the same. While he has not been exposed to kids or cats, we think he can adapt with boundaries in place! The Good Boy Report: Potty Training: Doing amazing! No accidents in the house so far. Crate Training: Currently a work in progress, but he’s putting in the effort. If you want a dog who will make you laugh every single day and fill your home with non-stop positive energy, this is your guy. Interested in adding some joy to your life? WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made to our rescue go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care.Regardless of which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a minimum donation of $850. The donation may or may not be directly applied to care of the dog you're adopting but rather goes toward supporting all of the dogs in the rescue. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.NAME: MoodBREED: PugDOB: May 1, 2020 (6 years)GENDER: femaleHome Recommendation: Mood would do best in a loving home looking for a calm, easygoing companion. She has a very chill personality and enjoys being around her people without demanding constant activity. Mood gets along well with kids and other animals, making her a wonderful fit for a family home or a quieter household with other pets. She would thrive in an environment where she can relax, feel safe, and enjoy companionship, affection, and a steady routine.Personality: Mood is an extremely chill and peaceful dog who enjoys the simple things in life. One of her favorite activities is relaxing outside and quietly watching the birds fly by. She loves affection, especially having her ears rubbed, and will happily soak up all the attention you give her. Mood is very quiet and calm natured — in fact, she has not barked once in her foster home so far. Her gentle and relaxed personality makes her a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a mellow, easygoing dog.KIDS: YesDOGS: YesCATS: YesTraining: Mood is still learning the basics and will need continued patience and consistency with her training. She is currently working on house training and leash walking, so her future family should be prepared to help guide her as she builds confidence and learns new routines. With her calm personality and gentle nature, she has great potential to continue making progress in a supportive and loving home.WHY DID THEY COME TO WISE: Some large-scale breeding programs occasionally have dogs and puppies they are unable to place due to medical needs, birth defects, appearance differences, or simply because there is not enough demand. WISE partners with groups working to help provide these dogs with a second chance rather than an uncertain future. We are committed to rescuing and caring for dogs of all kinds — healthy, medically fragile, senior, or those with special needs — and giving them the love, safety, and opportunity they deserve.Visit WiseAnimalRescue.org to fill out an adoption application.Adoption areas include: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maine, Vermont, Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.

Story
Born on 12/21/25, Faro and his siblings came to us as an unwanted litter—but this little guy hasn’t let that slow him down one bit. With parents who were both small, we expect Faro to stay on the smaller side too…perfect for snuggles! Faro is a playful, affectionate puppy who enjoys the company of other dogs and loves his people. He can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but give him a moment and his sweet, lovable personality shines right through. This smart little boy is already doing great with potty training and is eager to keep learning. With consistency and love, he’s sure to grow into an amazing companion. Faro is up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, and will be neutered through the rescue when age appropriate. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful pup to grow with your family, Faro might just be your perfect match Interested in adopting me?  To fill out an application visit 3 Hearts 4 Paws.  Please note: we generally do not adopt out of state (NJ).  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 8, 2026, 8:44 pm

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Look at this little face. Lily is as sweet as she is cute. She's about 2 years old and found her world turned upside down when her owner passed away, leaving behind 7 dogs. Family and friends took in 4 of the 7, and Lily and 2 others came into our rescue. Understandably confused, it took a few days for Lily to warm up. She bonds easily, is house trained, and a joy to be around. She can be a little mouthy when she gets excited and as such we will only consider homes with older children. Lily is getting spayed on 4/9. She'll be brought current on core vaccines and microchipped. We would love to find a home for Lily where someone is home more often. A fenced yard is required.   Interested in adopting me?  To fill out an application visit 3 Hearts 4 Paws.  Please note: we generally do not adopt out of state (NJ).  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 8, 2026, 8:44 pm

Story
• Rescue Story: Meet Moana👋🏻 She was found wandering the streets of Paju, South Korea in 2022. She ended up at a high-kill shelter but was thankfully rescued just in time. Since then, she’s been living in a private shelter with many other dogs, charming everyone with her affectionate personality. Now, she’s ready to find a forever family of her own! • Personality: Affectionate, Friendly, Goofy Moana is truly one of a kind. She quickly won the hearts of volunteers with her gentle, loving nature. She follows people around like a little shadow, happily greeting everyone—even strangers—with tail wags and affection. Moana thrives on human interaction and loves tug-of-war, belly rubs, and being the center of attention. Her energy level is moderate, making her a great balance of playful and calm. • Affinity with - Dogs: Moana is incredibly social—not just with people, but with dogs, too. She’s often the first to welcome new arrivals at the shelter, helping them feel safe and at ease. While she would thrive as the only dog in the home, Moana also does best with calm dog companions. - Cats: Not tested with cats - Adults/Kids: Great with adults / She hasn’t been tested with cats or kids, but based on her gentle demeanor, we believe she’d do well with respectful children. • Walking Manners: Moana has also started practicing her leash skills and is doing great! She may pull a little at times, but overall, she walks well and is eager to please. • Housetrained: As she’s lived in a shelter, Moana will need some house-training in a home setting. • Bathing/Brushing: She’s tolerant of baths and grooming. • Car Sickness: She’s curious and alert during car rides, taking in the world around her. • Separation Anxiety: Zero. • Barks/Howls: Very quiet • Appetite/Food Allergies: Eats well. No food allergies found so far. • Shedding level (1~10): 5 • Likes/Dislikes: She loves affection & treats! • Health: Moana finished her heartworm treatment in Oct 2024 and is in great health. She underwent successful surgery for an inguinal hernia in Mar 2025 and has fully recovered. She has a clean bill of health and is ready for her new adventure! (Her two front bottom teeth are missing) 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.
