Wakanda came from a local hoarding situation. Due to this they do require a fenced yard as well as another dog in the home. Wakanda is one of the pups rescued from the Wauconda hoarding case and is just beginning to discover how good life can be. Wakanda tends to warm up more quickly to women and is still learning to trust men. He’s working with a trainer to help build confidence and ease his protective streak. While he’s still figuring things out, his sweet side is shining through more each day. He loves spending time outside, so a securely fenced yard is a must for this curious explorer. He’d do best in a quiet home with older kids who understand that trust takes time. With patience, love, and continued training, Wakanda is sure to blossom into a loyal and loving companion. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family.
