IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Clarity - Clarity is a petite puppy who is about 3 months old and weighs about 10 lbs. Clarity is a sweety and playful puppy who has also has a "chill" side. Clarity loves to chase tennis balls and when outside playing in the yard she loves to find sticks and mulch - lol. Clarity is working hard on her house and crate training. While Clarity is not in a foster home with children we feel she would do well with children ages 8 years and up. Young puppies will require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! This puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. This puppy will need to be spayed at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00. The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Meet Izzy. This sweet young pup was abandoned by her owner in Lake Wylie, SC. They decided they no longer wanted her and just dropped her off in a neighborhood and left her there defenseless to fend for herself. Some tenants in the community started feeding her but when they were evicted and had to leave, Izzy was once again on her own. A Good Samaritan saw her lying on the deck of the empty home waiting for their return and reached out to Worthy Dog for help. This sweet girl deserves so much better, and our team is already working hard to give that to her. Izzy is in a foster home with a mom and dad, three dogs, and two cats. She was immediately accepted into the pack and has good doggy energy. She respects her pack and shares food/attention well. She also connects to her human quickly, and once she settles in, she's very much a lap dog.   Izzy is crate-trained and quickly learned to use the doggy door. She has good house manners and has already earned free roam privileges in the home. She's done well meeting visitors to her foster home and loves people — it takes her a minute to warm up but once she does, she’s all about the pets. Izzy has been through a lot of change over the last few months and was anxious when she first arrived at her foster home. She whined for a day or two when left alone, needing time to trust her new environment...but who can blame her? Like many Terriers, she can be vocal at times, so we don't feel she's a great fit for a condo or apartment and would benefit from having a dog buddy or two in her new home. She does settle in and work through things, but being part of a pack helps with her confidence and makes her less anxious. Izzy has a natural joy for life. She is super sweet and cuddly, loves to give kisses, and loves her toys. She has a moderate energy level and is a happy little dog who will make a great companion.  Apply today! BREED ESTIMATE: Rat Terrier Mix GENDER: Female APPROXIMATE WEIGHT: ~  14 lbs APPROXIMATE AGE:  ~ 2 years old COAT TYPE:  short ADOPTION FEE: $425 OTHER INFO: utd on shots/spayed/microchipped FOSTER LOCATION: Alexandria, VA   FOR MORE INFO OR TO ADOPT: Please go to https://adopt.worthydog.org and complete the application. You can also help save dogs like this one by becoming a foster, providing a rescue dog with a temporary home and giving them the love and care they need until they are permanently adopted. Every person who fosters is directly responsible for saving the life of a dog, because we can only save as many dogs as we have foster families available to welcome them into their homes. Story
Jayden is a sweet pup with basic house and obedience training including crate training. She is very high energy, curious, and eager to learn new tricks. Her favorite games are tug, fetch, and chase, and she loves a good squeaky toy. I think she would do best in a single person household, preferably someone who woks from home and has lots of time and energy to dedicate to training and entertaining her. Jayden does struggle with reactivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding, and fear-based aggression. We have been working with her vet and a behavioral vet to develop a behavioral modification plan which currently includes anti-anxiety medications. I know that she will be the perfect companion for someone with time and dedication to help conquer her fears and I want to find her a forever home where all of her needs are met.

Story
Squirt is all about spreading joy! He is a playful young pup with a curious nature and friendly personality. While fetch might not be his thing, Squirt makes up for it with his personality. He loves to play and run around, but also loves hanging out and napping with his favorite human. He generally seems to get along with dogs. He may be a tad shy meeting new people, but give him a minute and he will be your best friend. He is an unknown around kids, but due to his size, he would be best with kids over 10 years. He’s a pro on the leash, making walks a delightful adventure. Just be prepared for some toy evisceration—Squirt’s enthusiasm knows no bounds! Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to welcome Squirt into your home and experience the joy of having a furry friend by your side!
