Mac is a 10 year old, 66 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Yes, Mac is a senior gentleman with a distinguished gray muzzle, but he is still young at heart! Mac loves everyone, including his tiny human sister and his four legged brothers and sisters, and he play chase with one of the resident dogs. He's faster than you would think! He likes to bring his toys to his soft bed for nap time. He loves going on car rides and stopping at Sonic for his favorite doggie treat. Mac likes his routine, so he needs a calm, quiet, low activity home. If you are interested in an amazing dog who is beyond the challenging puppy stage but still a lot of fun, Mac just might be the guy for you! Mac qualifies for our senior adoption fee of $125.00. Otis is a 4-5 year old, energetic, Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He is very sweet, and loves his booty rubs. He’s been through 3 homes, and needs to find his forever one! He needs a big back yard, someone who will take him on all the walks, and all the patience you have to offer. He is good about going outside, he’s good with other animals, but he likes to get into whatever mischief he can. As long as he has plenty of chew toys, he’s good to go! I recently got a new and more time demanding job and just don’t have the time anymore, unfortunately.

Ellie has a sweet and loving personality and does not understand why her beloved owner and home are gone. She has no idea why she is now in a city shelter. Meet Callie! Callie is a four-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She is super loyal and loving to her people. She loves to hang out inside with her people but enjoys rolling around in the yard and sunning herself on a pretty day. When her mommy and daddy had a baby, she was a little stressed out by all the chaos and, they knew she would be happier in a home where she did not have babies crying or toddlers invading her space, so she is looking for her forever home. She is currently staying with her grandparents while waiting for a forever family. She is up to date with vaccines, spayed, and has an appointment to be microchipped soon. Her anxiety is well managed with medication. She weighs 90 lbs and has been working on getting to her ideal weight with daily exercise and weight management food. She would love to accompany you on your own wellness journey if you too are looking for daily exercise! Callie LOVES her adult people. She will sit at your feet and hang out with you for hours. When she gets spurts of energy, she invites you to play and will go get toys and sticks you throw for her. She is not a big fan of giving them back to you, but loves the chase. She thrives when she gets her daily walk and would be your best friend if you took her on a neighborhood walk each day. She is super friendly to people and pets out in the neighborhood but needs to make your acquaintance before you come into her space. Her first family had babies and dogs, and she prefers life as the diva, free of children or other pets in the house. Callie is potty trained, and sleeps in her crate. She is the best at walking on a leash and aced her obedience training. She is super smart and learns quickly. She is the type of pup who will take some time to warm up to you, but will be very loyal to her new family. She will thrive in an adult-only household where she can be queen! Tato is a 4 year old, 55 lb Black Mouth Cur mix. If you aren't familiar with this wonderful breed, they are described as friendly, lively, loyal, active, energetic, playful, and bright. We also think he may be mixed with Greyhound and Shepherd, but breed mix is just our best guess. Tato loves to be outside in the backyard on nice weather days. It's so much fun to watch him literally kick up his heels as he runs zoomies around the backyard. Tato knows the "sit" and "come" commands, and learned the doggie door in two tries. He loves to chase a tennis ball, and will actually bring it back and drop it at your feet for another game of fetch. He gets along with other dogs, but he may annoy older, more sedate dogs. He has been around kids over the age of 10 and did just fine. He may be a little too enthusiastic for kids younger than 10. Tato is housebroken and crate trained. He needs a little more work on leash training, but only because he gets excited when he sees other dogs, and wants to go play with them! Let me introduce myself. I'm Xolo; you say it Zo-lo. I'm looking for a family with room in their lives and home for a big man. My foster dad says I'm a goofball, but I think I just like to have fun. The good thing is I have all the cool skills down. I am crate trained when my foster family is gone, I know to do my business outside and I sleep well through the night in their room. I would prefer to sleep on the bed with them, but so far they haven't been willing to let me up there. I'll keep trying. I walk pretty well on a leash but I am strong so I'll need my new people to help me continue to learn to walk nicely by their side. I like to be the man in charge so if I had a friend, a nice girlfriend would be preferred. She would need to understand that I'm the boss. I've mentioned I'm strong, right? That comes across when I'm wrestling and playing too. I can get pretty rough and need to be reminded to settle down. But at the end of the day, I am incredibly loving, surprisingly gentle, and I will become your true best friend. I need the right home to accommodate a dog with a booty and personality of my size.
